In the heart of a small city with character and a few metres from its castle, enjoy a snack during a stay with the charm and authenticity of a 16th century timber-framed house: the House Arouet * nestled in the heart of one of the most beautiful villages of the Deux-Sèvres, Arouet House opens its doors on a haven of peace, relaxation and well-being.
This historical House of the 16th century owes its name to the ancestors of Voltaire that inhabited it and still today, you will find all the charm of the time: timber-framed, arches and doors in carved stones, staircase screw, stone and medieval tiles, old parquet floors, mullioned windows...
Agnes and Didier will welcome you in a peaceful setting in the spirit of a family house in the elegant and refined atmosphere. Thanks to the new House 100 m² spa area, you are will be also invited to absolute relaxation and wellness moments with family or friends during a weekend or an extended getaway.
Pushing its doors, you can only be conquered by its friendly and carefully decorated interior and the splendour of the parts which embellish it:-its spacious lounge: the place dreamed for you relax and find yourself with friends or family and enjoy peaceful moments at the corner of the fireplace.
-Its kitchen open to dining room where you can enjoy a friendly area with all the equipment to prepare dishes with delicious local regional products.
-evening, four rooms invite you to enjoy a fresh and relaxing night in an elegant and refined atmosphere that gives the House peace and tranquillity.
For more festive moments, you have a projection Cinema Blue Ray room equipped with a large video library, a bar area and a mini dancing.
Outside, its Park of 3000 m², surrounded by old stone walls, guest at the promenade, reading and relaxation with various landscaped spaces but also the game with different equipment for children ((table tennis, trampoline, net and Badminton Court, shuffleboard and petanque games...)
The beautiful season, you can enjoy the Sun on the salon zen atmosphere or on the loungers by the pool, heated from April to October, will host small and large.
