This charming one bedroom cottage is ideal for the couple who want to be a quick bike ride from town but don't want to hear it. Or the writer who wants to escape to the beach for a week (or weekend) getaway. Take in spectacular beach and water views from your bay window, across the road is a private deck with umbrella and chairs. Enjoy walking the sand flats or taking a swim depending on the tide or reading on the backyard patio in a quiet, private garden.

Any description of this apartment begins with the view and ends with the cottage itself. The view will seem familiar because it is one of the most photographed and painted vistas in Provincetown and on the Cape. Artists have set up their easels here for well over a hundred years. The cottage is a beach house, but also a winter sanctuary (my personal favorite time of year here.) It has the modern appointments you'd expect to find in a high end rental, but you never forget you're at the beach. The queen bed is tempur-pedic, the kitchen is a chef's kitchen. Everything you need to make a special meal is available.... but it's tough to beat the choices waiting for you downtown!

Provincetown is a wonderful place to getaway and experience beauty, art, great dining and relaxation. The East End offers the best of what Provincetown has to offer.

Response from the owner Yikes. Not an ideal review. I'm in Florida this summer, the first and only summer I've been away during rental season but it can't be helped. I'm counting on cleaning professionals to leave the house both clean and supplied with cleaning supplies. Not passing the buck just apologizing for not being able to check in on you myself. Being next to the beach is no excuse for bugs. We just installed new windows and screen doors this year, there should be no bugs. Glad you had a fantastic time regardless and we'll do better going forward.

Response from the owner Sorry to hear you were disappointed Rich, your comments are heard and taken to heart. All the windows in the house have been replaced within the last few years, with the exception of the rear windows. We put emphasis on the water front and garden windows first obviously but plan to upgrade the bedroom windows as well. I'm surprised you couldn't open them, they are fully functional in that respect. A tenant put his hand thru the screen door this spring and the I chose to tape it and use it this summer. The whole door is being replaced this fall. As for my furniture, it's exactly what is pictured and I find it to be very cozy and comfortable but am sorry it wasn't everything you'd hoped for- I understand that feeling when a place isn't what you were expecting. Hope your next experience meets your expectations. Again, I'll look at my home with fresh eyes and see what I can do to improve it's appeal.
