Description

Westwood Cottage is a beautiful, two storey rammed earth house set on half an acre of private landscaped gardens and fruit trees. The bright, open plan design makes this a great holiday home for one or even two families. Westwood is fully fenced which makes it perfect for bringing your dogs. The large well equipped kitchen has miles of classic wooden benchtops, a Fisher & Pykel dishwasher, Haier fridge freezer, induction cooktop and a deluxe Nespresso coffee machine. There is even a water filter system that provides sparkling, clean drinking water straight from the tap. Complimentary tea and coffee pods are supplied along with basic pantry items. French doors lead out onto the alfresco entertaining area that is equipped with table and chairs, sun lounges and BBQ all overlooking the huge gardens. A short drive to town in an area that feels like a secluded retreat. The house accommodates up to six people with the master Queen bedroom downstairs, second queen bedroom upstairs (air conditioned) and two singles upstairs in bedroom 3 (also air conditioned). The large bathroom downstairs has a bath. There is a pot belly stove in the main living area to keep you warm on the cold winter nights while watching TV on the large screen, dining in or playing board games with family or friends. Westwood offers free WIFI and Foxtel for those into Sports and Movies. Margaret River is best known for its stunning coastline (the main break is a ten minute drive from Westwood Cottage), wine (take a full or half day tour, enjoy lunch or take a 2 minute drive to one of the closer vineyards) or have fun at the chocolate company, fudge factory, animal farm, olive oil factory….. The list is endless. The position on the map is an approximation; for security reasons the exact location will be sent after your confirmation of booking.

Had a very short stay for business but was very pleased. Would love to come back to stay longer. Great location. Beautiful house and grounds. Would definitely recommend.

While we do set up the fire place ready to go for all arrivals during winter and do provide instructions we are always here to assist if you need help. There is plenty of dry firewood located in the steel shed to the right of the house. I am glad you enjoyed the house and wish you had contacted us during your stay if you needed assistance. Response from the manager We always welcome all feedback, so many thanks for taking the time to let us know how you enjoyed Westwood Cottage. We understand your thoughts regarding the WiFi and have investigated, but the cost would be about $30 extra per booking. This is not sustainable and most people have their own smartphone which can be used as a WiFi personal hotspot. However, having looked at the signage for the house, we agree that it would be helpful to improve it for those arriving at night, and we shall be doing just that in the coming weeks. Thanks again for helping us improve our service to our guests.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.
