Lovely Holiday Chalet Self Catering overlooking the lake.
Glan Gwna is a quite woodland setting on the border of Snowdonia National Park in the village of Caeathro on the A4085 between Caernarfon and Bedgellert.
An ideal base to explore North Wales with its beaches, Castles and Mountains.
The chalet has 2 Bedrooms 1 double bedroom with doors opening onto the decking and 2nd bedroom with bunk beds.

“Family trip to Wales”
Perfect location to explore. Peaceful location. Lodge is clean and cosy. Has everything you could need. Didnt spend much time on site as so much to do in the area. All information about the lodge was spot on.

“Cosy chalet in a great location - good for families and couples.”
Glan Gwna is a large holiday park, a short drive from Caernarfon, with easy access to Snowdonia, Angelsey and the beaches of West Wales. Rita's chalet is right on the fishing lake, in a lovely peaceful setting - almost dead silence at night, which we appreciated, a lot!. The beds are comfortable and warm, the shower quite powerful, kitchen clean and well equipped for our needs and the living area has a couple of leather sofas and a great view onto the deck and beyond to the lake. The weather was not good enough to use the deck much, but if it had been warmer, we could have spent a lot of time outside, with a good sized BBQ, sun loungers and eating area. To help pass the time when it's raining, Rita has stocked the chalet with plenty of books and games. There's also a decent sized outdoor swimming pool on site, a small shop and takeaway pizza place, none of which we tried, but they were all well used by the many families who were staying on site. You have to pay extra for electricity, and we were not particularly frugal with our water heating and general usage, but it was still only £10 for the whole week for three of us, which we thought was very reasonable. Negatives? The only issue we would mention is the wi-fi. Rita warned us that we would be lucky to get a signal, and she was not wrong! We were able to connect, but sometimes after several attempts, and it was a bit slow and unreliable. Communication with Rita, before and during our stay was very easy, and she is even sending on some items we left behind, which is very kind of her. This is a great place for families with young children seeking a base for active holidays, and also for couples who are after a quiet, peaceful break.
