Description

Situated on the edge of a small hamlet close to the river Charente, this large 5 bedroom house has everything you need for a relaxing holiday in the Cognac countryside. The kitchen opens out onto the fully enclosed garden leading down to the large swimming pool with ample room for sunbathing. There is BBQ and shady dining area for alfresco meals alongside the pool. There are 2 additional terraces for those seeking shade or peace and quiet in the garden. One overlooking the stream running to the rear of the property.

Internally, the 5 bedrooms are all on the first floor, serviced by 2 family sized shower rooms and 3 WC's, whilst downstairs there is a fully equipped comfortable lounge dining room.

For the more active there are tennis courts, table tennis, basketball, badminton and volleyball facilities in the heart of the village free for all to use, in addition to the numerous walks and cycle routes through the vines or along the river starting from the front door.

The nearest restaurant/bar is 2km away, but there are many within a 10 minute drive. Supermarkets, shops and farmers markets are available in the nearby towns of Jarnac or Chateauneuf-sur-Charente.

The coast is only an hours drive if you wish, but there are many fascinating visits to enjoy in and around Cognac or Angouleme only 20 minutes away.
