Description

A detached guest house on our property, the unit includes a full bathroom with shower, one bedroom with a queen size bed and hanging space for clothes, a living room with convertible queen sofa, a kitchenette with microwave, small refrigerator, sink, Keurig coffee maker, and full access to a shared outdoor Moroccan-themed kitchenette/lounge and relaxing backyard. Separate entrance is located around the back (to the left of the home when looking at it) with a keyless pin pad to get through the gate.

Getting around

Free street parking on our street. Please do not block or park in anyone's driveway (they are small in older neighborhoods). Light rail (Sacramento Regional Transit) and bus stops are conveniently located 1-2 blocks away. We are right off the freeway, and you can rent bicycles at Practical Cycle or City Bicycle Works. The Yolo Bus goes to and from the airport and picks up downtown. If you are new to using local taxi services and would like your first ride free, use code fdspl for Uber and briana74 for Lyft.

Interaction with guest

We may or may not see you when you arrive as you have your own private entrance. We share the yard which includes the outdoor lounging area. If you prefer alone time in those spaces, please let us know that. On the flipside, if you'd like to meet us, we are happy to meet you and would welcome contact from you. Please don't hesitate to message us for anything during your stay!

House rules

Please be respectful, kind, and pick up after yourself. We recycle. We have asthma and live on the property, smoking is outside only. Please dispose of cigarettes in the garbage in the driveway. You will be charged a fee for the smell of any kind of smoke left in the apartment. Please turn off heater and AC when not in use or when you leave. The hot water is run on a recirculating pump, so it is hot quickly and you don't have to wait for it to warm up. Please limit noise after 10pm. No parties.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.
