Description
Beautiful cottage set in an area of outstanding natural beauty, our guests love the peace and quiet after the hustle and bustle of life. The only sounds you will hear at night are the owls or foxes.
The cottage is an old barn conversion providing modern amenities within an old exterior. There are two bedrooms both with views over the paddock, each has its own wet room. One bedroom has a king size bed and the other has twin beds which can be made up into a large double if requested.
The kitchen area is fully equipped with a dishwasher, fridge and microwave. Comfortable seating for four in the lounge gives all a chance to simply relax and catch up on the day, or watch a film together. The cottage has superfast fibre broadband. Guests are welcome to use the washing machine in the farmhouse.
The private courtyard is a real sun trap and has access to the gardens, there is a table and chairs plus parasol and a BBQ, charcoal supplied for your first BBQ - if it rains decamp to the wet-weather 'barn'. Enjoy a game of Boules or Croquet on the lawn. Very often you will be offered fresh fruit or veg from the kitchen garden.
For those of you bringing bicycles we have a secure bike storage and cleaning area.
There is ample off road parking, there is also an electric car charging point adjacent to the parking area.

“Lovely cottage in good location”
We had a very enjoyable 6 days in this lovely cottage. It was ideally placed with many attractions easily accessible - We went to Canterbury Cathedral, Leeds Castle, Chatham Historic Dockyard and Whitstable. A short walk to the Tadpole Tea room for breakfast is to be recommended. Jenny made us feel very welcome.

“Tikis Cottage at Bishopsbourne”
This was a lovely place to stay. Cottage was well equipped, clean and comfortable. The location was quiet and the grounds beautifully kept. The hosts were welcoming and helpful. I would certainly recommend staying here.

“Fantastic holiday rental”
This was a very last minute booking, but we were so pleased with the accommodation. The rooms were spotlessly clean and there was everything we needed for a very enjoyable stay. It is a short journey into Canterbury, with an easily accessible Park and Ride just off the A2. Would very happily stay there again.

“Little Gem!”
A lovely, well equipped little cottage. Excellently located for us to visit all in the area we wanted to; Whitstable, Herne, Deal, Broadstairs and of course Canterbury cathedral. To come home to this little gem at the end of the day was a real treat. We sat and had a glass of wine at the enclosed terrace area and later wandered up to the local pub “The Mermaid” for some delicious food and local ales. The hosts, Jenny and Ray were lovely and there on hand if you should need anything. The gardens were gorgeous to walk around too. Would definitely recommend staying here. The welcome hamper was a super surprise too and very delicious homemade jam!

“Lovely cottage, with warm, friendly and welcoming owners”
Tilia Cottage is great for exploring Canterbury, Howlett’s zoo & the Kent coast (Deal, Sandwich etc) and is set in a picturesque village. We were greeted on arrival and found a lovely welcome pack had been left in the cottage. Jenny & Ray were great hosts giving us good tips on where to visit & eat. Highly recommend.
