“Relaxing in Rye”

Reviewed 5 Jan 2022

Ockman Cottage itself has everything you would want to make it a comfortable home away from home...cosy and homely with modern kitchen (dishwasher included) with comfortable sofas and beds too...all tucked away off a quiet street. The cottage is close to the local supermarket (5 mins) and with the likes of the historic Mermaid Inn a 5 min walk away. If you don't want to cook, then there are excellent restaurants and coffee shops literally on your doorstep! If you like walking then there are lots of paths/cycle routes close by that can take you to the likes of Camber Sands and Winchelsea. Jilly (the host) is wonderful, checking in with us to ensure we were happy with the cottage and if there was anything she could help us with and that she was available to contact during our stay. We will certainly be looking to return and will be passing on details of Ockman Cottage to our friends and family!
