C Farm offers diverse accommodation in North Yorkshire. Situated in the quiet village of Tollerton, 10 miles to the north of York, it is the ideal base from which to explore England’s largest county. The Yorkshire Dales, the East Coast resorts and the large conurbations of West Yorkshire are all within easy reach.
Tollerton lies around 17 miles from Ripon and 20 miles from Harrogate, with Leeds around 50 minutes’ drive. The North York Moors are a little over 20 minutes away, and you can reach the Yorkshire Dales in less than 1 hour.
The watchword is versatility. Stay a night, a week, a month or a year. Take a room, an apartment or a self catering house. The accommodation consists of 2 self catering converted barns – The Red Barn and The Hay House plus guest house rooms. There are also office and leisure facilities.
In 2016 the principal units are The Red Barn (sleeps 10 -12) and The Hay House (sleeps 8). These houses are on opposite sides of the entrance drive - so they are neighbours but each is independent. As such they are suitable to receive either a single group of up to 20 - or two smaller groups who are not known to each other.

“Family gathering”
We stayed in both the Red Barn and Hay loft as part of a birthday celebration for an 80th birthday. The red barn is lovely with a wide open downstairs space and three bedrooms with en suite. There is a conservatory with sleeping arrangements but this is also the main entrance at the back of the room so isn’t really for sleeping. Other than the odd snag the building is recommended. We also hired the Hay loft which is to say the least interesting. We named one of the rooms the hobbit room as you need to be under 5ft to be in it and the other main room is only accessed through the bathroom which everyone uses! You can comfortably sleep 8 but there is only one main bathroom. The houses are in a lovely area and the pub next door is highly recommended.
