Description

Southerton house is over 200 years old and set in its own private grounds.

Southerton House was originally built around 1780 and was converted into 4 apartments in the 1950's.

At the bottom of the garden is Beveridge Park -a haven for walkers, runners, cyclists and above all dog lovers. The park also has Football and Rugby pitches, as well as Tennis and Bowling greens , a lake with ducks and other wildlife, putting green and many wildlife and floral attractions.

We have 3 bedrooms- 2 main double bedrooms to accommodate up to 4 people and another bedroom room with 2 full size single beds.

The displayed prices on the website are up to 4 guests. there is small charge for extra guests.

We welcome "well behaved "pets"-there is a charge of 15 pounds for each pet and the maximum is 3 .-we are confident owners will really appreciate the park and the many fellow pet owners.

NOT DRIVING? GETTING HERE.:

There are 4 trains an hour from and to Edinburgh and Kirkcaldy. From Edinburgh airport there is a frequent bus service to Kirkcaldy,then a 10 mins walk to Southerton House.( If available we can pick you up too.)

We are "MotorBiker Friendly" and pedal bikes too. We can provide parking at the house, or if needed , we have a large and secure garage.

Shops and provisions - all within half a mile - Morrison, Aldi, Lidl, M&S, ASDA,COOP, SAINSBURYS

Eating out ? Kirkcaldy has many restaurants, independent and Chains.

As well as visiting Edinburgh, you are also well placed to explore SAINT ANDREWS, THE CITY OF PERTH, SCONE PALACE,. LINLITHGOW PALACE. DUNFERMLINE .ABBEY, CULROSS VILLAGE, QUEENSFERRY DEEP SEA WORLD ,LOCH LEVEN, and many more attractions: all in a 45 mins radius.

Horse riding, Clay pigeon shooting, Quad Biking, Fishing and of course the bounteous amount of various Golf courses including Glen Eagles.

Added to this are the East Fife Fishing villages- with traditional buildings and working ports, not to mention the Sandy beaches, pebble beaches.

Lookout for the Coastal Path-117 miles fantastic views, walks or bike for a wonderful experience.

“It's a dump!”

We actually didn't book the place but went to view it within the last week, Poorly maintained, no tv, no wi-fi. These photos must be years old and do not trust them.

Very comfortable and well-appointed house in a superb location overlooking Beveridge park. Perfect for exploring the Fife coast and visiting Edinburgh. We enjoyed an extended stay and found it perfect for your needs.
