This single-storey barn conversion in Gilling West sleeps five people in two bedrooms.The Cartshed is a barn conversion on the edge of Gilling West. The cottage is set over the ground floor, with a bedroom at each end of the property. The master room has a king-size double and sofa bed, while the other bedroom can be a king-size double or a twin and benefits from an en-suite. There is a family bathroom with free standing bath, and an open plan living area with kitchen, dining area and sitting area with woodburning stove. Outside is ample off road parking, and a garden area with furniture. The Cartshed is just a mile away from the village pub, and Gilling West offers walks into wonderful countryside, making this an ideal base for exploring this attractive region.

Richmond itself contains a magnificent Georgian Theatre and an imposing, ruined medieval castle that overlooks the River Swale. The area is full of footpaths and bridleways, criss-crossing the picturesque landscape in every direction and excellent fishing facilities are available nearby. This wonderful town makes an idea base for exploring all of Swaledale and Teesdale, regardless of the time of year.
