“Peaceful and great location”

Reviewed 31 Jul 2016

Loved our stay at the Water's Edge. Great location within walking distance to Creamery and Mr. Whippy and downtown Chincoteague Island. The house has interesting features like watch tower on 3rd level and a doorless shower at the first level for washing off all of the sand. The watch tower has no AC so we could not use it during our hot stay. The screened in porch was good for breakfast. Only wished we could swim in the water but not allowed. Only reported maintenance issue was that ADT alarm was beeping and smoke alarm would go off with oven and stovetop cooking constantly. Had to leave all the windows open to avoid the smoke alarm. Other issues we noted was that the doors to bathrooms and bedrooms were tight and the first-floor bathroom would not close. Not major issues and location overrides any of these concerns. The dock was fun to walk and to see the crabs and boats pass by. My kids could live here all year.
