“Rainbows and tradewinds”

Reviewed 4 Jul 2014

This was our families second visit staying in the condo. The location is awesome, great views of mountains to the left and the ocean straight ahead. I certainly miss coffee on the lanai each morning and the rainbows that seemed to appear each morning. Also missed the tradewinds that made sleeping at night most comfortable. I also would like to compliment Sue with Garden Island Properties. Sadly both the dishwasher motor and dryer fan belt broke within hours of each, Sue responded immediately and both appliances were repaired quickly and restored to working order by the next day. One additional improvement is the Wi-Fi. Wi-Fi access works throughout the entire unit including lanai. This is an awesome condo and a great location as you are close to all activities throughout the beautiful north shore. Do not miss the Hanalei Farmer's Market on Saturday mornings, great farmers market for local produce!

“Relaxing, peaceful, fun!”

This is my second visit to #9306 at The Cliffs. I love the view of the ocean and the mountains from the lanai! It is clean and well-equipped with great appliances and very nice Hawaiian artwork throughout! I will return!

“Excellent!”

This is my favorite unit at the Cliffs. I love the view from the lanai. I also love the Hawaiian quilts and furnishings. The temperpedic bed was great too. I hope to return soon!

Response from the manager Mahalo for your review and glad to hear you enjoyed #9306 at the Cliffs. The owner likes to support local artists thus you are able to appreciate it throughout this beautiful ocean bluff condo! We look forward to having you back! Aloha.....

“Wonderful Kauai Experience”

Reviewed 3 Jul 2013

I rented the vacation unit for family members. We also had 3 other units rented in the Cliffs Resorts. This unit was everyone's favorite because of the beautiful views of the ocean and the mountains. The end unit was nice and quite and very well decorated. We will return!

“This was a great place”

Reviewed 31 May 2013

We rented on short notice and this place just happened to be available. It turned out to be a great experience. Place is nice and spacious. There were only two of us and so we never even went into the loft. Tv in both living room and main bedroom. The only thing - the chickens!!! At 5:15 in the morning they were awake and wanted everyone else to be awake too. This is a vacation. We bought ear plugs. Of course, there are chickens everywhere on the island - not just at this place.

“Comfortable Surroundings”

Reviewed 27 Sep 2012

We enjoyed the condo unit because of the space, the views of the mountains and ocean, the little things available in the unit (i.e. kid's books and toys, beach gear, cooler, baby gear), the pool, the great kitchen, the pretty breakfasts on the lanai. Unfortunately, the next building over was being roofed and the Cliffs also decided to do maintenance work on the 2 units below us, and so we were hearing saws, drills, nail guns, etc. for several days of our stay. Not so peaceful. The king size bed was a little uncomfortable, but it was a great master bedroom and there was great art all over the unit. We loved having 2 baths and a washer/dryer. I believe we had one of the better views because we were in a corner unit and could see the mountains behind and ocean in front. Unfortunately, there is a circle drive right in front of the ocean view that has a lot of traffic on it. That interfered with the enjoyment of the view, and privacy, but still - probably worth the trade off for getting the dual view. There was this old man named Jack wandering around trying to sell timeshares all the time. He also interfered with the quiet. As did the really mean lady below us the last day who yelled at my 3 year old - can you imagine? A lot of really crabby old people there. The Cliffs staff sucked at times - threw us out of the "adult" pool, which was not marked as adult and other kids were in it within 15 minutes. One staff member was gunning it through the parking lot on a golf cart without lights one night, and almost caused a collision with our rental car. There was a problem with a leak in the sink, though, and they fixed that promptly. The location is really great - so close to our favorite - Hanalei Bay. Garden Island Properties as managers were responsive and we appreciated that. Overall, we had a great vacation and would consider that unit again if we returned to Kauai.

Response from the manager Aloha! Mahalo for your review. We are glad to hear you enjoyed your stay at Cliffs Resort #9306. We do agree that the location of this unit is unbeatable with it's fabulous ocean views and being an end unit. It sounds like you had some "excitment" during your stay but made the most of it all and we are glad to hear you had a great vacation with your children.

“Beautiful condo and amazing views”

Reviewed 28 Jun 2012

You will not be disppointed with this condo. It offers some of the best views on the Cliffs property. Our family stayed of four stayed for ten nights and could have easily stayed for a month. The condo has everthing you need, the king bed in the master is very comfortable and the room is nicely decorated not your standard time share room since this is privately owned. Breakfast on the lanai each morning was a treat, it was great to take in the ocean and mountain views and even better being treated to beautiful sunrises, sunsets and even rainbows. We also liked the the extras like the beach chairs, cooler. The kitchen is well stocked has all the essentials and is upgraded as well. If you plan to visit the north shore beaches this is an amazing location as you are close to some of the most beautiful beaches on the island. From Hanalei to snorkeling at Tunnels and hiking at the end of road at Ke'e. Mt family would not hesitate to book this property again. Check in and check out took less than 60 seconds. Another reviewer did mention the Wi-fi. The Wi-fi is not strong in the front part of the condo. The better signal is upstairs in the loft or the master. But this was a vacation and I was trying to unplug. When I did need to check in on work e-mails I just took some time at night in the master.

Response from the manager Mahalo for your review. We do agree this unit has one of the best views; being an end unit and also the furthest north at the Cliffs Resort. We are glad you enjoyed your stay adn enjoyed visiting our many beautiful beaches on the north shore. We look forward to having you back!

“Beautiful place with a good view”

Reviewed 23 Oct 2011

Since the only time I would spend in the condo was mornings my two priorities were having an ocean view from the lani and reliable Internet access. The view from the seaward lani was very nice. Enjoyed am wake up and breakfast overlooking the ocean. The condo itself was very nice and furnished well. The condo requires three floorsflights of stairs to reach the front door. Be prepared for this. The check in was a problem as the first pass I was provided was not keyed properly. The front desk person "forgot" that this was a "private" condo. The extra trip up the stairs late in the evening after a long flight from the mainland and drive from the airport was not welcomed. The property was quiet, well maintained. However, the Internet access was marginal, at best. The wireless signal was only strong enough to use in a small corner of the master bedroom. My "desk" became a dining room chair next to a lamp table. Was hoping to run my business from the lani! I spent very little time in the condo during the day. However, the few times I was there it was quite hot. To be expected since it was top floor and West exposure. Basic beach supplies were available. I would have liked the availability of a boogie board. Except for the poor Internet access (my top priority!) it was a nice stay.

Response from the manager Aloha and mahalo for your review. We do agree that the view of the ocean from this unit is spectacular. Thank you for letting us know about the internet access. We will definitely have this looked at as for many travelers these days, their vacation is sometimes a "working vacation." As for boggie boards, we are unable to provide them due to liability issues. Glad to hear that you enjoyed the furnishings in this unit and the quietness of the property. Aloha!

“Perfect in every way”

Reviewed 7 Jul 2011

Our rental condo was spacious, tastefully decorated, airy and tropical. It had everything we needed, including an incomparable view of the Pacific ocean and endless sunsets every night. We felt spoiled rotten and had the time of our lives with our four young adult kids. We only ate dinner out once in 10 days because we loved dinner on our lanai so much. We could see spinner dolphins playing off the coast, and twice had full sky rainbows fill the sky off the lanai. The condo was conveniently located, 1/4 mile from a gorgeous golf course and just down the street from the spectacular St. Regis Hotel. We loved jogging the easy, flat mile to the St. Regis each morning for the exquisite ocean vistas along the way. A well stocked grocery store was just a mile away from our condo, next to convenient shops and gas station for all the basics. On the resort property itself, the kids enjoyed tennis and the mostly decorative swimming pool (pretty but no room for laps); we made nightly use of the gas grills to cook locally caught ahi and mahi mahi. We were just a short drive from a dizzying assortment of breathtaking beaches framed by sculpted, tropical mountains. Our weather was considered atypical for June, because the month is usually almost rainless. There were brief nightly showers that only enhanced the tropical experience, leaving the green hills mysterious with wisps of rising mist. Days were dazzlingly sunny but comfortably hot, usually in the mid-80s with deep blue skies and fluffy clouds. On a practical note, it was great having laundry facilities in our unit which was also thoughtfully equipped with beach towels and chairs, lots of dvds for the kids, and family games. Ceiling fans in every room plus the island's gentle trade winds made the condo the perfect temperature throughout. The whole experience was heaven on earth -- we left there "blissed out." It was the best vacation, with or without kids, that we've ever had -- a true tropical paradise.

“Great views and location”

Reviewed 16 Jun 2011

Fantastic location with great views. Roomy condo with nice master bedroom. Loved having the basketball, volleyball and tennis facilities. Pool was very nice. A couple of minor issues. If you expect the garbage to go out frequently, provide enough bags for the entire stay. Second, we were disappointed with the condition of the putting green and lack of sand trap that was advertised. It was not even usable as a putting green. Overall, great stay and great value.

Response from the manager aloha! We were happy to see that you enjoyed this beautiful, roomy condo on the ocean bluff. Houskeeping is on site so a quick call would have easily solved the trash bag problem! Glad to hear you overall had a great stay!
