“Heavenly Beach Home - Garden Island Properties”

Reviewed 13 Mar 2016

Great stay. House was as advertised, very comfortable, excellent view, well outfitted. Location was central on the island so easy to make day trips. Kapaa itself is a very nice little town and we were able to walk for all of our shopping and dinners out. Property management company was easy to deal with. We would stay again for sure.

“Home Away from Home”

Reviewed 15 Jul 2014

My family of 4 stayed here for a week and it was a perfect! The ocean was across the street, constantly creating a perfect backdrop for our stay. A sweet little yard to play in... our girls were able to play around the front and back yards w/o us worrying. We kept the windows and doors open most of the time to feel the breeze blow through. The house had everything we needed for our stay to feel like home. We cooked many meals there (often grilling) and enjoyed having every meal on the patio. It was a wonderful place to come "home" to every day after our hiking and snorkeling adventures. We hope to come back! Only negative was that we had a few questions for the property management a week or so before arriving and they took about a week to get back to us. It was a holiday weekend, but we were still surprised that it took that long. But again, we loved being there and hope to go back. We even drove by a few other rentals we had considered and we think we chose the best of the bunch.

“Location, Location, and ideal for families with toddlers”

Reviewed 5 Feb 2014

This property is situated in an ideal location for family activities, has an excellent ocean view, and can accommodate 2 adults and 2 kids comfortably. It takes only 1/2 hour or so to get to either Poipu or Princeville, so driving time is minimized for outings. There is a (rare) uncrowded toddler friendly beach just a 5 minute walk away, which was a real Godsend for us, and totally unexpected. The home is clean, quiet, and features a well equipped kitchen and roomy living areas with lots of windows. Bonus; a large beach facing patio with a low wall keeps small kids in and lets parents bask outside without worry. Mostly all positive comments for this place. The only 2 things that weren't as good-the hot water isn't hot in the house, just barely lukewarm, but is just right under the outdoor shower behind the garage. It would have been nice to have a tub/shower instead of a shower only in the second bathroom, but no biggie. We would go back, and probably will.

“Review of Hale Hololani "Heavenly Home" in Kapaa, Hawai”

Reviewed 10 Jan 2014

The home is positively different than other rental properties in the vicinity. It is clear that this is mostly due to the kindness and warmth of the owners. They did a lot to make this place warm and welcoming. The property has great location, the closeness of the ocean (across the road) offers a very unique opportunity to enjoy its beauty at any time. The location is also great from the point of view of the vicinity of shops and restaurants, but at the same time the location is quiet and off the road. All bedrooms, kitchen and living room are spacious enough and well equipped. Place is clean and well maintained including a very nice back yard with palms and flowers. The availability of the washing machine is a big plus. As I mentioned above, one can feel the warmth and care of the owners and it would be a great pleasure to have a chance to meet them ! Generally - great place! Aloha!

“Paradise on Earth”

Reviewed 19 Sep 2013

This was my 4th consecutive year staying at Hale Hololani. It truly is a heavenly home in paradise. The home is beautifully furnished and equipped. Rest in bed with the sight and sounds of the ocean or sit on the deck and watch the sun rise. Take a walk or bike ride in the wonderful path that is out front and goes for 5 miles along the ocean. You could not have a better location with the ocean a few hundred feet away, stores and restaurants all within walking distance. I do not even rent a car anymore! If you do want to see all the wonders of the island, it is a great location to go North or South, then return to the peace and quiet of this wonderful home and Kapaa. Sue and Garden Island Properties is wonderful and responsive should you need anything. This is like my home away from home. Enjoy it and embrace the aloha that fills the house and this beautiful island paradise!

“Beautiful Oceanside location”

Reviewed 7 Feb 2013

Beautiful location with a 5 mile waterfront bike/walking path right out the front door. It was far nicer to have a whole house to come home to rather than a hotel room or condo complex. Nice airy home that could be opened up wide to let in the sound of the waves and the ocean breezes. Beautiful sunrises every morning. The house was very comfortable for our two adult couples to share. The house could use a little updating. Being so close to the ocean some of the metal fixtures have corroded over time and should be replaced. Some of the door handles and window hinges are rusty and the locks were at times challenging to operate. The carpet in the main living area is a bit worn, and the ocassional lightbulb is burnt out. However, it was evident that a lot of care goes into keeping the house and linen clean. I would definitely recommend Hale Hololani to a friend. It's not super fancy but it is a nice home in a great location.

“Simply perfect...”

Reviewed 8 Sep 2012

My husband and two teenage sons stayed here in august and we couldn't have been more comfortable. A lovely home with a spectacular view. It's in Kaapali which is between the sites to the south and north if you're interested in seeing both, as we were. We did a lot of driving but were always happy to come back to this house at the end of a full day. Mahalo!

“Hale Holalani made for Happy Haoles”

This property is phenomenal. It is a prime location, coupled with a well equipped and immaculately maintained property, which along with central air made for a perfect getaway. We would recommend it to anyone who is looking for a premium Island experience.

“enjoyed our stay”

Reviewed 28 Mar 2012

we were thrilled to stay here as we had checked it out on a previous trip. The location is perfect in our opinion, only a short walk to town and the view is awesome. Sue at Garden Island properties was excellent when there was any concerns and we have booked it for next year. However the house is becoming a bit 'worn' as it has been a popular rental for a number of years. It could really use some updating (paint, appliances, towels) and we are hoping that happens before our next stay.

Response from the manager Mahalo for your review! We are glad you enjoyed your month long stay at Hale Hololani and look foward to having you back. Being on the ocean does take it's toll on our properties but we will definitely make sure it's prepped and "shining" for your stay! Mahalo nui loa! :)

“A Very Enjoyable Relaxing Convenient Place To Stay”

Reviewed 31 Jan 2012

Hale Holani is very well maintained, very clean and well-equipped with most anything you might need. Sue and Guy are very helpful and obliging...when there was Wifi problem, Hawaii Telcom turned up with a new router, about 20 minutes after mentioning it to Sue. We found the location very good, on a quiet street, with a great view of the water (and yes, glimpses of whales). As well, the short (5 minute) drive, or walk, for shopping is a great convenience. H H is bright and attractive...and it always felt like a good place to be at home.
