Enhanced Housekeeping re: COVID-19: The health and safety of our owners, guests and staff is of utmost importance to us. We are taking extra precautions and steps to ensure that all professional housekeeping and interior property sanitation needs are not only being met, but exceeded, to ensure a hygienic environment. Specific enhanced steps taken include more commercial antibacterial cleaning products, staff wearing facial protection and gloves when in the homes, more frequent deep cleans, and continuation of our professional hospitality grade linen laundering services.
This two bedroom, two bath apartment is centrally located on Whitaker Street. No matter which direction you set out in the morning, you’ll be just blocks away from all that Savannah has to offer.
When you open the front door, you're immediately greeted by a large and comfortable living area. You shouldn’t need a vacation from your vacation, so don’t feel bad about spending an evening in, curled up on this comfortable couch watching a show (or two!). Whether you’re enjoying coffee and breakfast at the kitchen counter breakfast bar, or dinner at the cozy dining table, the Eleanor has plenty of room for quality family time. At the end of the hall you’ll find a full bath and a Queen bed in the first bedroom. The Master Suite has a king bed and renovated full bath.
When you’re ready to start your day, just cross the street to tour St. John’s Episcopal Church, known for its melodious chimes and magnificent stained glass windows. In 1942, St. John’s the Green-Meldrim House, one of Savannah’s finest examples of Gothic Revival architecture. During the Civil War, General Sherman occupied the Green-Meldrim House and penned his famous telegram to President Lincoln, presenting the city of Savannah as a Christmas present.
