Just so that this review does not mislead, The Amistad over looks a piazza, which cannot really be described as an amazing view [altough it is situated just 80 meters from the beach]. Response from the manager Hi Natasha, Thanks for your review which we appreciate as it allows us to improve our services. I would like to apologize for the under supply of towels and will take this up with housekeeping. This oversight is simply not acceptable. I will also have a word with Levina [our after hours resident check in person] about your comment that 'she wasn't able to provide much information'. We have had only positive comments about Levina since she took on this role over 2 years ago. Whilst we appreciate all feedback, I need to correct you on several points you made which are simply not true: - our check in time is from 2pm as advertised, not 4pm as claimed by you - no where on any advertisements for the Amistad Apartment do we show pictures of a swimming pool, or do we claim that there is one. We do manage similar apartments in other complexes which have swimming pools. Perhaps you viewed one of these apartments before deciding to book the Amistad? - no where do we claim to supply free wi fi, however we do state that 'wi fi is available in the apartment with charges applying, or is available in our office for free - regarding the sleeper couch, you booked and paid for 2 people and never requested to use the sleeper couch/extra bed when making your booking. We can only provide linen for the sleeper couch if you request same when making the booking. You also never mentioned this on arrival. - 10am is the normal check out time in almost all accommodation establishments in order to prepare for the normal 2pm check in time - our policy on towels is that we supply 1 set of towels for 1 - 2 night stays, and 2 sets of towels for stays of 3 nights, or more. In none of our communications or advertising do we state that we supply 1 towel only Kind regards Mark [owner]

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.
