“Lovely Kalapaki property”

Reviewed 20 Sep 2014

This is a quaint, lovely place to stay. For those wanting something fancy, hotel like, it's not for you. You feel as though you've just stepped into South Pacific. The den can get warm during the day with the small a/c but the evenings are very pleasant.

Response from the manager Mahalo for your review! We do agree this is a quaint cottage w/a fantastic view and with the Kauai Marriott use of the pool, fitness center and discount golf can't be beat! We look forward to having you back!

“Another great Christmas/New Years!”

We love this old house with its spectacular view!great beach access, dinner at Dukes was great!

“Love the location and the view!”

Reviewed 3 Oct 2013

Love the Hawaiian atmosphere of the cottage but it needs some updating, & an exterminator for the mosquito problem. Central air would be quite useful as the air-conditioner does not reach the small bedroom which makes it very uncomfortable night sleep when it's warm outside.

What an adorable place! We arrived at night so didn't realize what a breathtaking view awaited us in the morning. Gorgeous! Outfitted with everything we needed for our five day stay. Using the Marriot grounds was such a treat! The bed was super comfortable and the sheets were divine. You can listen to the waves all night long. The only thing I would suggest is an umbrella or shade of some sort for the lanai. In July the afternoon sun made it rather impossible to enjoy because of the intense sunlight after 1-2pm.

“Golfers Delight”

Reviewed 30 May 2013

The cottage is next to the Kauai Lagoons Golf course and also ten minutes away from Puakea Golf Course. The condo was comfortable and being part of the Marriott resort complex provides several places to walk along the beach and cove.

“Very comfy, just what you need”

Reviewed 10 Jan 2013

Loved this place. Cozy, no frills but absolutely all that you need. Best is close to the beach and elevator ride down to all Marriott amenities do you feel like your away from the hustle but still can enjoy what Marriott patrons enjoy. Would stay again.

“Great view and Marriot facilities are a great benefit”

Reviewed 10 Dec 2012

My wife and I stayed here on our first evernight stay on Kauai. The location is great and what an experience on arrival to enter the incrediable entry of the Mariott. The unit is a cute little place with character. It provided all we needed. The view was spectacular and each morning I was excited to see what cruise ship was in the Harbor as I enjoyed my coffee on the Lanai. We were very happy with the facilities at the Marriott and the easy access on the elevator that opens right in the resort. We are considering our next vacation date even as I write.

Response from the manager Mahalo for your review. We are glad to hear you enjoyed this little "cottage on the hill" overlooking beautiful Kalapaki Bay. We do agree that the view is spectacular as well as having the resort use is a great blend for a casual vacation on Kauai! We do look forward to having you back to Pali Kai.

“It's hard to sleep there..”

Reviewed 5 Dec 2012

The location is very good..from the view..but..the noise from the airplanes...the branches from a tree rubbing the walls...the rooster and chickens alarming..the helicopters noise..we just did not get a good night of rest . To bad, since we loved the easy access to the beach with the elevator and the very friendly neighbors.

“What a view at sunset”

Reviewed 1 Nov 2012

It was a little smaller then we exspected but, the view at sunset time was unbelievable. It was very clean and we loved to sit on the deck with a cocktail and enjoy the sunset before our next dinner excursion.

Response from the manager Mahalo for your review. The Pali Kai Cottages 17 is one of the original cottages on the bluff overlooking Kalapaki Bay. We do agree it has a sensational view, the resort amenities are great and all included in the rent! Not a very big cottage; but we have had familes come back year after year to Pali Kai 17A. and just enjoy the charm of this little "cottage on the hill."
