“An truest unique place to stay!”

Reviewed 23 Sep 2013

Lisa, We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Loved the place! We are very impressed at how you have designed the place to be so eco-friendly. We will recommend Suitable Digs to everyone we know.

“Super awesome Eco Ville”

I love Suitable Digs sustainable styling. The grounds are beautiful and a fun alternative to the hotel norms. Great example of sustainable living the the high mountain living!

“funky little find in santa fe”

Reviewed 23 May 2012

Suitable Digs is a great find in Santa Fe. A short distance from the downtown area, yet far enough away to enjoy a little solitude in the beauty of the area. The accommodations are great. Every detail feels intentional, from the reusable totes provided for grocery shopping to the set up of the lodging in its entirety. It is beautifully designed and decorated, with so much character in a no frills kind of way. The property is gorgeous, and host Lisa is a warm, knowledgeable, and encourages exploration. Fabulous find!

“A true taste of Santa Fe”

Reviewed 16 Jan 2012

We stayed here during a long weekend trip to Santa Fe in august - our first time seeing New Mexico. Suitable Digs was a perfect choice providing both a unique and charming atmosphere. Every detail of the house and guest rooms are in tune with Lisa's eclectic style and the flourishing gardens surrounding the house are a wonderful reminder of the Eco-friendly living. Lisa is a wonderful host! She's extremely interesting and great for conversation in addition to offering wonderful advice on places to eat and drink during your stay. Enjoy a warm cup of coffee on the patio in the morning or have a glass of wine as the sun sets. Suitable Digs is indisputably the best place to stay in Santa Fe. Our only regret was we couldn't stay longer.

“Santa Fe dreaming”

Reviewed 9 Jan 2012

My wife and I spent an amazing 3 weeks with Lisa in Oct. 2011 while I took a class in blacksmithing right up the street. Cute, cozy and Green, we had a blast; Lisa is doing a much better job of saving the planet than we do at home so we were both inspired by her energy and dedication. Quiet, peaceful but yet only minutes away from downtown Santa Fe with all their art studios, galleries and wonderful eateries. Need anything special in Santa Fe, just ask Lisa, she will get you there. We will be back.

“Pleasant, unique lodgings with a friendly owner”

Reviewed 8 Jan 2012

Lisa's made a wonderful place to stay and offers all the traveller's advice & comfort you could want. Location a bit out from town so car is a must. I spent a down day hanging out there and recommend it!

“Experience Natural Santa Fe”

Reviewed 6 Jan 2012

A group of four opera goers stayed in the two apartments (Earth Room and Sun Room) for three days in august and we had a wonderful time. We were attracted by the green environment, but many other things added to our enjoyment. Lisa is a very well organized and considerate hostess! She provided a manual in each room listing dozens of movies we could watch for the asking, listing dozens of local restaurants along with their strengths, providing details on how to operate the equipment in the apartments, listing local venues and events that we might like to see, etc. I have never found such a well thought out guide in any other motel, hotel or B&B.; She kept in touch by email before we arrived and gave detailed driving directions. She is an amazingly competent and helpful hostess. The two apartments were delightful. The beds were comfortable, the kitchens are very workable, an array of magazines and books are available to read, the dining table works great for 4 or 5 people. An extraordinary woodworker designed and executed the apartments, layouts, closets, shelves, showers, etc. Wherever the eye lighted, there was interesting artesian work to appreciate. And they were spotlessly clean when we arrived and kept that way each day during our stay. One of the nicest things about the location, is its rural nature. This was the closest I have ever been to getting a "feel" for what it would be like to live there. The wonderful views of New Mexico skies -- stars so close you'd swear you could touch them, spectacular sunrises and sunsets, birds chirping and small animals around the exteriors of the buildings on the property, all gave a good idea of what New Mexico is like. And yet, it took no more than 15 minutes to get into downtown Santa Fe. This was the nicest vacation experience we could have asked for -- sophisticated restaurants and opera at night, outdoor experience during the day.

“My favorite place to stay in Santa Fe”

Reviewed 4 Jan 2012

As always, Lisa Sarenduc, was the perfect hostess. And during my stay at Suitable Digs in the Earth Room over the Thanksgiving holiday I was able to prepare all of the dishes I was to take to my daughter's house for our holiday meal. I was no more than 10 minutes from anyplace I needed to be during my stay, and could dash back to Lisa's place for time away from the crowd when I needed some peaceful, quiet time. Lisa's meticulous attention to detail means I have everything I need, all the time.

“Friendly, clean and green!”

Reviewed 4 Jan 2012

This is the second time I stay at Lisa's and the only thing I have to say is awesome! Lisa is a very friendly lady and the place she offers is excellent if you are looking to relax after a long day at the office or if you are only looking to relax. Lisa's place is the right place to meet great people and to eat some good food. She loves cooking and also loves if you cook for her. Suitable Digs is a very clean place and Lisa goes way out of her way to provide you with Ecological and green products for you to use. I would highly recommend this place for any type of people. The only advice I would have for people is to have their own vehicle or transportation mean because her place is outside of town and you will need to walk about 25 minutes to reach town.

“Home away from home”

Reviewed 3 Jan 2012

My stay at Suitable Digs is a treat I always look forward to. Lisa makes me feel right at home and Suitable Digs is a wonderful place to relax and be inspired. I also really enjoy the Earth Room. It has a nicely arranged kitchen, dining area and living room, a wonderful space to relax by myself or have some friends over. During my last stay, I had 5 people over to the Earth Room for a tamale dinner and everyone loved it! Its decor is unique, very charming and it's really cozy in the winter too. I can't wait for my next stay! Sincerely, Connie
