Description from owner

Description

Our 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom luxury holiday homes at Castle Sween are finished to the highest specification, are situated at the edge of Loch Sween. All electricity, gas and bed linen is included - all you need to bring are towels. Dogs are also welcome, with the first staying for free and the second being charged at £30 per week. Photos show the two models we have just now, so you will be allocated whichever is available.

Nestled in the Loch View cul-de-sac of just 13 vans, all are under 2 years old and are ideal for family holidays, or just a relaxing break.

Castle Sween Holiday Park is located about half an hour from Lochgilphead. If you are looking for a relaxing holiday away from it all by the water, then this is for you! The site is quite remote, but there is a small shop and restaurant on site. There are also the facilities to launch boats on the site, so if you have a boat or kayaks, please bring them! Castle Sween itself is on the site, and just a couple of minutes walk from the Loch View area. The beach is also only a couple of minutes walk.

For those who enjoy walking or watching wildlife, you can take a walk along the road, where you might see deer, foxes or red squirrels. Stick close to the water and you might be lucky enough to spot the otters, or seals.

Sightseeing is also possible from Castle Sween, as Kilmory Chapel and beach are only a couple of miles away, Kilmartin Museum is a short drive, and Oban can be reached with an hour or so.

Please note that we can accept couples/family groups only - we are unable to accommodate workmen or stag/hen parties.

“Great Location, Lovely Caravan”

Reviewed 9 Jul 2019

The caravan was in a great location, with wonderful views of the loch. On arrival we found the caravan clean but the bed linen although clean was faded and bobbly. Kitchen equipment was limited. The site had great amenities, play areas for the children, a sports area, a small beach and Castle Sween is nice to explore. There was an on site shop with very limited produce but great if you run out of a pack of biscuits or similar. There is a small bar and restaurant. The service is great with friendly staff and the food basic but very tasty. The site is very isolated and you need to be well organised as its a 35 minute drive down a narrow country lane to the nearest town. This is a holiday that takes you away from everything is peace and quiet with wonderful scenery, where you can rest, enjoy the facilities and have a lovely meal and a drink in the evening if you don't want to cater for yourself

This is peace and quiet in a fantastic setting. Time slows down here. i think it may be illegal to be in a rush whilst staying here. Then the sunsets over the isle of Jura to end the days.....AWESOME!… More
