X-Large garden bedroom. Sun-drenched and soothing. Perfect for short stays or office use, the room is handsomely decorated with great attention to detail and has its own private entrance. Quiet, relaxing, and nestled in the heart of historic Fort Greene on a prime landmark block in a stunning 19th century brownstone (featured in several American and European home decor magazines including Elle Decor UK, DCASA and others). The bedroom looks out onto a pastoral, seasonal, front garden of solidago, castor bean, bloodleaf, asclepias, helleborus, autumn fern, St. John's Wort, and high grass . Room features lush queen-size pillow top mattress, desk work station, original marble fireplace with interior metal work (non-working), built-in apothecary cabinet, closet (plenty of storage) HD cable TV, and internet. The apartment also features a lovely Italian clay tile floor kitchen, exposed brick dining room, mid-century Deco bathroom, and on-site laundry room just downstairs. This is perfect for people traveling to NYC for business or vacation. Stay for a romantic weekend, artistic getaway, or a quiet retreat. The apartment bedroom is furnished with care (quality materials and furniture): Shaker bench, cable TV on an artist easel, internet, a fully equipped kitchen, exposed brick dining room, mid-century Deco bathroom with tub & shower, (shared by the resident young man who has his own bedroom in the back of the unit.) We speak English and a little French and are eager to host you!!!! Private Entrance, Laundry Room, Shared Kitchen/Shared Mid-Century Deco bathroom. Soap, towels provided. Owner-occupied building. We live upstairs and are available to answer all of your questions, show you around if you like, and are always attentive to the needs of our guests. Come and go as you please, or sit and have coffee with people who know the neighborhood. We (the owners of the building) have lived in this neighborhood for more than 23 years and in NYC all of our lives. We know every part of this city, and look forward to helping you experience it! We will likely be the ones to greet you and to check you in and answer all of your questions.
