Getting around

In this part of rural France there are no subways or major bus lines. If you plan a relaxing getaway and would like to arrive without a car, the SNCF station at Lison is serviced by trains arriving from Paris St Lazare. For a nominal fee, we can then arrange pickup and drop off with appropriate notice. Sightseeing can be organized with various local companies.

I will usually be available during check in/out to address any questions or concerns. Here to help but will take my cue from you so simply visit the main house if you have other needs.

House rules

The pond is deep making it unsuitable for young children. Parental supervision required at all times.
Guests are responsible for picking up after their pets both inside and outside. All efforts to limit the transfer of pet hair (eg, travel blankets, lint rollers) should be used.
All enclosed spaces are considered non-smoking; however, if you chose to smoke outside, please dispose of your cigarette butts in a safe and environmentally friendly way. Don’t put cigarette butts in the compost.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.
