Located just beyond the second gate in the Vanderhorst Plantation, nestled on a quiet cul de sac, this four bedroom three and one-half bath central island home will accommodate up to 10 guests and sits on a lagoon with a beautiful golf view. Enjoy access to the shared community pool and a five minute walk to the beach over the walking bridge which is steps from the home. Features of this home include hardwood floors through the main living areas and a screened porch on the first level with an expansive sun porch on the top floor where ocean breezes abound. The décor is beach casual with many amenities such as high speed wireless internet, HD cable service and flat screen televisions. The den offers a Playstation console, video games, and a DVD library with a range of options for everyone to enjoy. Square footage is 2,645.

FIRST FLOOR: The home has an open floor plan with a spacious great room nested on hardwood floors combining the living, dining and kitchen areas all opening to the screened porch. The great room features a 60-inch Smarthub flat screen television with Sonos Audio System. The dining area has seating for eight with additional kitchen seating at the island bar. The expansive screened porch, which runs the length of the home, features lagoon and golf views and multiple seating areas with access to the grilling area. Also located on the first floor is a master suite with a four poster king bed, flat screen television with French doors that open onto the porch. The en suite bathroom offers a double vanity, walk-in shower and separate tub. A half bath, off the great room, completes the first level.

SECOND FLOOR: The loft has a flat screen television with easy access hook-up for videos and gaming systems and a queen sleeper sofa, which provides additional bedding. A bedroom with king bed and private bath with walk-in shower and separate tub with French doors opens to the sun porch. Another bedroom with king bed and hall bathroom, with walk-in shower and separate tub, just outside its door also has French doors that open onto the sun porch. The third upstairs bedroom consists of two twin beds and a day bed with access to the hall bathroom and also opens onto the sun porch which runs the length of the home. The front-loading washer and dryer can also be found on the second floor tucked away in the laundry closet.

This home includes ample parking for up to 5 cars, screened porch in addition to a sun deck, initial supply of linens and towels, washer and dryer, HD cable TV, two-zone air conditioning, a starter supply of paper products and detergents, fully equipped kitchen with dinnerware, flatware, pots and pans, coffee maker, microwave plus local telephone service and 24-hour security in a gated community. The wireless service requires a login and password provided upon check-in. Wireless internet is compatible with most wifi-enabled devices but is not guaranteed for use with all devices. “Spacious, well-appointed island home, closely situated near beach and pool”

We had a fabulous vacation over Labor Day Weekend with three families sharing this beautifully-decorated island home. Tropical Storm Hermine moved through quickly and island landscaping companies cleared the debris with haste, leaving us 2 1/2 days of glorious weather and unspoiled views. Kiawah is a special destination and your immersion in nature is felt deeply on the beach, on every bike trail, and throughout the carefully-designed developments. Riding bikes (rented from Night Heron Park Recreation) on the beach and on the bike paths was the favorite activity for the boys. We spent most mornings on the beach and used the convenient Island Beach Rentals for umbrella/chair rentals. Daily trips to the neighborhood pool located up the street were perfect for late afternoon cool-downs. We enjoyed the nearby eateries at East Beach Town Center, but cooked in for most meals. The kitchen is well-stocked with everything you need. We all found the sleeping arrangements very comfortable, and the three boys loved having a room to themselves. The full porches, one open and one screened-in, were thoroughly enjoyed. Just lovely!
