Description

The Astarte Villas are located in Diakofti, a beautiful fishing village of Kythera with the magnificent beach, just 1 km from the port and 10 km from the airport of the island.

It is comprised of newly built 4 detached houses (completed in 2010) just 100 meters from the beautiful golden sandy beach with turquoise waters and spectacular clarity. The best beach on the island in our opinion! Within walking distance, guests can find seaside cafes and restaurants

Each Villa (75 m2) has its one characteristic colour in furniture, but all of them have the same excellent sea view and offer comfortable accommodation for 4-5 people.

They are developed at two levels:

• On the raised ground floor there is a living room, a fully equipped kitchen, a WC and a covered veranda with sea view.

• Upstairs there are two bedrooms and a bathroom. From the covered veranda (pergola) with spectacular sea view (independent access from both bedrooms) you can enjoy your coffee and if you are a morning type you can admire the sun rising out of the sea!

In the common areas there is a beautiful garden with flowers and herbs -usually butterflies too!-, barbecue (charcoals are on the house) and of course the pool with comfortable sunbeds and fluffy towels for relaxing.

The owners, a pair of civil engineers chose Diakofti and started with an enthusiasm to build their country house and continued so until the last detail.

As people with children who love traveling, they tried to create what they were seeking: The perfect place for families or two couples of friends who want to enjoy their holiday without missing any of the comforts of home, like going to their fully equipped country house.

Our goal is the harmonious coexistence of local tradition of the island with modern technology and design, as a way to ensure pleasant and comfortable stay in a beautiful and functional environment.

“Glorious holiday in Kythira”

Azure seas. Relaxing beaches. Kythira is a wonderful island full of hidden gems like Mylopotamos, a green and charming corner of the island. We visited as many beaches on the handy pocket guide given to us by our host on our first day. Word of caution though- book your return ferry tickets well in advance if you are going in the big holiday week of August! There might not be any spaces for your car....
