Description from owner
Description
The house is located in an ancient hillside village 7 km from the city of Pistoia, rich in history and artistic beauty. It is a small, quiet, typically Tuscan village of only 23 houses, nestled in the woods, 450 meters above sea level. The village dates back to the Middle Ages, has a beautiful Romanesque church and was completely restored ten years ago. It is very quiet, few are the residents, and the position of the house, accompanied by two small gardens, allows relaxing holidays. The forest is a few steps away and invites to pleasant walks, even in mountain biking, in chestnut woods on marked paths,. The house is very comfortable, covered in stone, with a beautiful fireplace, furnished with antique furniture. It is on two floors, on the ground floor there is a large living area with fireplace and kitchenette, (with oven, fridge, freezer and dishwasher), separated by a sliding door from a sofa bed for two. There is also a small laundry room with a washing machine. On the upper floor there is a large double bedroom, with a walk-in closet, a sofa bed, and a bathroom with a shower cabin. It is well furnished, with antique furniture, terracotta floors and ceiling beams, like the typical houses Tuscan. It is independent on three sides, surrounded by two small, well-kept gardens, equipped with tables, chairs and deckchairs. It is an excellent base for visiting the art cities of Tuscany: Pistoia, a delightful medieval town full of atmosphere, is only 7 Km, Florence with its sumptuous Renaissance buildings is 30 km away, Pisa with its leaning tower is at 60, Siena, a splendid medieval city rich in history, is 80, Lucca with its inviolate walls, 40 kilometers away. The beautiful beaches of Versilia can be reached in less than an hour. Just 15 km away is the famous spa town of Montecatini, with golf courses and horse riding. It is a very quiet place, suitable for family vacations or romantic getaways. The panorama of the hills is wonderful, near there are many good restaurants where you can taste the typical Tuscan cuisine and taste the local wines. It is suitable for those who want to have holidays away from noise and confusion.
