Description
The apartment is spacious and beautifully decorated. It offers a comfortable double bed, sized 160x200 and a dinning table so you can enjoy having friends around and cooking. One more person can easily sleep on an unfolded sofa-bed in the living room. There is a big balcony with a view to Thisio area where the nightlife of Athens beats. At last, there is a superb rooftop with an amazing view-feel like touching Acropolis, Parthenon, Lycabettus, Mars Hill and Thissio neighbourhood. It is simply decorated in style, fully furnished, well arranged and functional to make you feel like home. Fully equipped with all necessary home gadgets and provisions that make life easy.
Situated in the liveliest area of Athens, most favorite among tourists, Plaka, spot of the city, just 300meters from the "Monastiraki square'' and Metro station (line 1 & 3), that connects you directly with Athens International Airport and the port of Piraeus. All nightlife bars and restaurants are nearby. All monuments are obviously under your feet. New Acropolis museum is a pleasant 10 - 15 mins walk. Choosing my apartment for your exquisite and quality stay, you can visit on foot the most important historical sites of Athens. Furthermore, you are only 15 minutes walking distance from Kolonaki, the most chic shopping area of Greece and just 5min. from the most chic shopping 'Ermou' street. Equally, the hip and trendy Gkazi area with its boasting nightlife is only 15 mins walk. Nonetheless, Athens' best quality Restaurants, night clubs, and coffee places are all a short walk away from the apartment. The apartment is next to the famous art bar ''poems n crimes''.
Couples friendly, gay friendly, lesbian friendly, single men/women travel friendly. I will be there to welcome you and make you feel at home. My telephone number and email will be given to you in order to contact me in case you need anything. A brochure of all the basic information about the house and the neighborhood will be given to you in order to accommodate your stay in Athens.

Apartment's location makes it unbeatable. It's located exactly in the city center, just five minutes from the most famous pedestrian road of Athens (Ermou) which starts from Monastiraki metro station and ends at the Syntagma square in front of the parliament! Plaka area is in front of your door. Acropolis, Parthenon, and the Ancient Agora where the heart of old Athens beats is under your feet! This area is for sure the best place to stay when visiting the city for many reasons.
Also, you will be staying 15 min away on foot from a very nice area "Kolonaki", which is said to be the posh area of Athens with many bars and local food stores as well as 15 minutes from "Exarcheia" which is Athens' alternative scene.
Transportation is a main reason. The area is very well serviced by many metro stations, bus and tram. There are at least 3 metro stations near the apartment including the central metro station of the city, where the airport train arrives and the bus from the airport as well. There is also the one and only tram line of the city departing close by, which it can transports you to the south suburbs of Athens, where the best beaches are.
What I like the most of this area is the fact that it is always alive, full of things to do, on a walking distance. Whatever you might need is on your feet. All the best brands of the big chain shops are down below your window. Acropolis is a 5-10 mins walk. Plaka, the small village under the Acropolis, is practically your neighborhood, right across the corner. Movies, theaters, Acropolis museum, the best restaurants of the city, all are around.
Lately this area became the place to be, for its nightlife as well. The hippiest bars and tavernas of the city are located here. This is the place, us Greeks, we go out the most, during the nights as well.
Another plus of staying here is security. Being so close to the Parliament and the central square of the city means that Police is always around.
The truth is, that there are no new apartments in this area as it is the preserved old historical center. Nearby there are the great big luxury hotels of Athens, like Grande Bretagne Hotel and King George Hotel, but as you can imagine they offer this privilege, staying at this very central location, at a high price.
