Description

My beloved little house is located in a very quiet position. There are two terraces: a large one along the whole front of the apartment on the first floor overlooking a spacious green area and pinewoods. The other is a roof terrace (same size as the whole apartment - 36 square meters) with deckchairs, table and umbrella for sunbathing, relaxation and having meals in the open air.

The property is located in a walking distance of 15 minutes to the nearest beach.

Bycicles are recommended to have a larger range of beaches to choose. It' possible to rent a bycicle in the center of town for cheap price.

Bathing establishments are large and well organized. Beaches are very wide all along this coast.

LINEN INCLUDED at the COST of E. 20,00 PER STAY to be paid CASH on site to the HOST.

Years ago I was looking for a place at the seaside for myself and my family. When I saw Marina di Montalto di Castro....it was "love at first sight".

Years ago the environment was very primitive but charming with few houses and long, long desert beaches. Through the years this place developed a lot, of course. Many small white houses were built (mediterranean style) as well as many bathing establishments.

There are many restaurants and pizzerias now, amusement parks for children and other attractions. Extended pinewoods are still there though as well as desert beaches. People can walk miles along the sea shore.

I like Marina di Montalto di Castro also because it is still an agricultural area. There are still around my place large farms growing, according to the season, artichokes, asparagus, tomatoes, strawberries, watermelons etc..

People can buy fresh fruit and vegetables directly from farm.

Last summer (2014), when I was there with my grandsons, every morning a flock of sheep used to pass in front of my house. It was so funny and different!

The area around Montalto di Castro is also extremely reach in artistic, historic, arachaeological sites. It is situated in the Tuscia region (the Etruscan Italy):

Archaeological Park of Vulci and Museum

Tarquinia with its famous Necropolis (painted tombs), National Museum, Churches.

Cerveteri - Etruscan town and tombs

Etruscan tombs and remnants are spread out all over the area.

There is a Host on the spot to meet my guests, giving assistance and information (in Italian).
