Welcome to your Prescott Hideaway! Freshly renovated for your comfort and enjoyment, this 2 bedroom house sits at the back of 1.25 acres, amongst towering trees and a seasonal creek. Listen to cooing doves during the day or howling coyotes at night. Watch owls, Cooper's Hawks, hummingbirds, lizards and even javelina from your own deck with an arbor and grapevines.

Just minutes from the hustle and bustle of downtown Prescott, you can enjoy the many activities there or go hiking at Thumb Butte, less than 2 miles away, then return to your Zen-like setting at Prescott Hideaway. Or walk one half block to the World's Oldest Rodeo and the Fairgrounds. You can even hear the horses neighing when there's an event!

Modern furnishings meets mid-century meets cowboy country cottage. Original artwork, antiques, vintage and quirky pieces blend beautifully with hardwood floors, tidy spaces, comfy furniture and luxurious bedding with high thread-count linens.

The two bedrooms have a Serta Firm and a Beauty Rest "Recharge" Luxury Firm mattress, each with comfort pillowtops and your choice of allergen-free or ergonomically-contoured pillows. Blankets, quilts and comforters are cotton and cozy. The master has a ceiling fan or open the windows for some mountain air.

This 1948 house has just been updated to create an open floor plan so the chef in the kitchen can see over the island, through the dining room and living room, out the sliding glass doors, past the deck and out to the creek and beyond. We also raised the ceiling and added additional lighting. The kitchen is fully stocked and has bamboo floors and travertine and granite countertops. Fry's (Krogers) grocery, pharmacy, gas station and a Starbuck's is just two blocks away.

The living room has a leather sofa and chair and a swivel rocker. Magazines and books on Prescott and Arizona are there for education and games are available for entertainment. Or step out out on the deck for birdwatching or stargazing! We also have a 40" flat screen TV.

The bathroom has a shower and a bathtub with a rainshower head and fluffy towels.

Prescott sits at a high elevation and is surrounded by forests, giving us a mild climate and four seasons. The area offers five local lakes for fishing, hiking and kayaking. Prescott National Forest has 400 miles of groomed trails, biking trails and many equestrian trails. The Mile-High Trail System maps nearly 48 miles of trails around the city. Birding is also popular since we get migrations both north and south. Over 360 birds have been confirmed in the area.

Prescott is also rich in western history, both cowboys and Native Americans. Several museums host events: Sharlot Hall, Smoki and Phippen. The downtown Courthouse Plaza is busy nearly every weekend with art and antique shows, concerts and wine tastings. Music, film screenings, theatre and various performing arts are offered at the Elks Opera House, the Yavapai College Performing Arts Center and the Prescott Center for the Arts. Whiskey Row and the surrounding area has saloons, gift shops and restaurants documenting the lives of ancient Indian tribes, Wyatt Earp, Doc Holliday and Big-Nosed Kate.
