Description
This apartment is not suitable for young children under 10 years old as there is no child proofing/child safety equipment provided and may not be suitable for guests with mobility problems.
Bicycles are not allowed inside the flat or in the fire stair which serves Minn apartment.
Completed in 2016 Minn is a high quality two bed apartment with open plan fully fitted kitchen/dining/living room. The bedrooms are doubles (4ft 6inches, 138cm wide) and there is a shower room with under floor heating as well as a bath room with over bath shower also with under floor heating. This well appointed apartment is situated in the historical conservation area in the centre of Lerwick - a stone's throw from Commercial Street which is the main shopping area of the town with numerous cafes, bars and restaurants and is only 100m from the busy picturesque harbour and esplanade. Access to this apartment - on the first floor - is via an internal stairway which also serves the flat above. 19 STEPS OVER TWO FLIGHTS FROM STREET LEVEL.
Being located in the historic town centre the apartments do not have designated parking. However, there is free public parking close by from as close as a few metres away (overnight) on the main street to up to 200 metres away for free public parking areas. There is also pay and display parking available on Victoria Pier which is approximately 100 metres away (approx. £4 for 24 hours).
The apartment is an ideal base from which you can experience all that Shetland has to offer; a car is not always necessary as there are regular bus services to most areas. Nearby, within walking distance, is the museum, town hall, Fort Charlotte, cinema, leisure centre and swimming pool, Clickimin Broch, 9 hole pitch and putt golf course, seabird boat tours and a beautiful coastal walk around Lerwick during which you may see local birdlife, seals and the occasional porpoise.
Further afield the world famous Shetland ponies are a popular sight along with the puffins at Sumburgh Lighthouse, the croft museum, Jarlshoff and Scatness archaeological digs. There are numerous beautiful beaches scattered around Shetland's stunning coastline, the most popular and spectacular of which is St. Ninians located south of Lerwick.
The local Tourist Office is 25m away from the apartment and the friendly staff will be delighted to help you organise an itinerary to suit your interests should that be bird watching, sealife, wildlife, walking, fishing, knitting, music, golf, history, food etc.

“Great Lerwick space”
Great town centre location and excellent flat. Everything we needed was there. The flat was smart and clean and we had a great welcome from the owner. Would definitely return.

“Perfect holiday home”
Comfortable 2-double bedroom flat right in centre of Lerwick. Well furnished and roomy with necessary appliances. Plenty of guidance on what to do and Billy great on places to eat. Great deli virtually underneath and general store across road. One of best self caterings we have had over the years in UK and abroad and was ideal base for our return to Shetland after many years. It would be our must stay if we are back. Only possible blip is if you are not a fan of traditional music (though why would you be in Shetland if you don’t) is that from 1030 music shop across way plays this thro loud speaker!
