Description

This unique cabin overlooks a large flowing white water creek and is adjacent to the national forest. The cabin features a wrap around deck with outstanding views of the rushing water. Located on the deck is an eating area and a gas grill with stairs leading to a pathway to the water. At night you can sit on the deck in the darkness and watch the fireflies and the stars. To reach the cabin, you pass through our family farm, past our cattle, the barn, and a pond for fishing. Look out for deer and wild turkeys. This is a hikers paradise; there are numerous trails from easy to difficult on our 200 acre farm where the cabin is located, and even more as you hike into the national forest. Rock climbing in the water and swimming below the water fall are just a short hike from the cabin. Inside the cabin, the great room and master bedroom are located on the upper floor. The great room features a vaulted ceiling, a comfortable living room with a large stone fireplace (we provide the wood), an open kitchen and dining area. The master bedroom is spacious with a king sized bed and a seating area that connects to the deck; a lovely place for a first or second honeymoon. It has its own private bathroom. The lower level can be reached by a stairway from the upper floor or via an entrance that opens directly into a mudroom that is a great place to leave hiking shoes, wet bathing suits and fishing rods. The lower level features a large multi-purpose room with a queen bed, a twin bed, a game table (with lots of board games),and a seating area. Also there is a bathroom and a large closet and storage room. Whether you want a romantic getaway or a family adventure, this is a great place get away from it all. Come unplugged! Take time to enjoy your family and the art of conversation. If you need some diversion, we do offer a flat screen T.V. with some great DVDs and movies for adults and children. We do not provide wifi, but if you must sneak in a phone, there is cell-phone reception. As remote as one feels, this cabin is located in the middle of wine country and only ten minutes from downtown Dahlonega. If you choose to venture beyond the cabin and the farm, Dahlonega and northeast Georgia are proud of our great wineries, delicious restaurants, gold panning, tubing, and lots of good shopping. Wonderful day trips are also a possibility.
