Description

A turn of the century house with a private garden located in the centre of Coniston, 2 minutes stroll from village shops, pubs, and restaurants.

A short walk to the shores of Coniston Water and a stones throw from the fells and footpaths. Views of the Old Man and Yewdale Crags from the house and garden. The house is spread over three floors and has been completely refurbished to a high standard. The stairs are very steep to the first floor. Bedding and towels are included. Parking is located in front of the garage along the side. We have refurbished, decorated and furnished the house as a home as though we were intending to live there, so you should find every comfort needed for a great holiday.

BT Infinity broadband and smart TV in the lounge providing ultra fast wi fi

Bluetooth speakers are supplied so you can listen to the radio or music from your mobile device.

All the beds are new and extremely comfortable, the house is furnished with quality furniture and the kitchen equipped with everything you should need including an espresso coffee machine and milk frother. Good quality pans and oven ware allow you to cook the perfect meal if you want to eat in.

The bathrooms are well equipped and both showers have excellent water pressure.

You really could park the car and not need it all week. A real get away.

A car is useful but you can arrive by train into Windermere and catch the bus into Coniston, this drops you at the end of the road. Once you are here you can explore the area on foot, we will send you some walks that you can do from the door or a short drive away. The house has walking books and maps to help you plan.

“Lovely house in great location”

We really enjoyed our stay at this super house with everything you need in a great location. Great number of walks and climbs from the door. No need to use the car all week with local shops, restaurants and the lake all to hand. Really comfy beds, soft bedding and fluffy towels. Lots of games and maps snd nice decor too. Highly recommend.

“Lovely house”

We enjoyed our stay , the house is beautiful and had everything we needed and more, such attention to detail, clean and cozy whilst having so much space upstairs, perfect. The only slight disappointment was that we could not open the back door to let our dog into the garden area pictured online , part of the reason we booked this property was because we thought we had finally found somewhere where the dog could potter about in the garden whilst we were in the kitchen perhaps or where we could let him out late at night , however all though the property has a yard the grassed garden area is accessed behind the garage across the area at the back of the house and is not visible from the house - it’s sort of separate, not a criticism as may be my fault for not reading this properly in the description, I haven’t checked but just not what we expected. Nonetheless we would love to return to this ‘home from home’ when in Coniston with the family.

It was a delight to stay here, a beautifully decorated and furnished house. Clean and tidy, the owners have thought of everything, very comfortable indeed. The house was perfect for our family of 5. Centre on the village, walking distance to all amenities. Would definitely recommend.
