Mablethorpe, Lincolnshire a traditional seaside town.

In August 2015, we arrived at Mablethorpe, we had booked a chalet, having never stayed in a chalet it was a new experience for us and our dog who we had never taken on holiday before. To be honest we weren’t quite sure what to expect.

The chalets were built in the early 60’s and are compact, but had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. In fact we enjoyed it that much we decided to buy one. that was in 2015, we now own 4 chalets, sleeping 3-4 people. We have tried to make them as comfortable as possible and provide you with everything you need to enjoy your stay, all the chalets are the same size but individual in the way they are decorated. They all have their quirky little bits that remind you that they were built over 50 years ago. from the wood paneling in the entrance hall to the odd baco light handle and light switches in the wrong places. Please note: this property only has a shower (no half bath). The heating in the chalets is provided by electric heaters, unfortunately this is the only form of heating we are allowed to supply due to the fact that the chalets are made of wood. I have stayed during the winter in the chalets and they are cosy, but unfortunately they do cost a little bit to heat. Electric is supplied by coin meter. Parking is directly outside the chalet. PLEASE NOTE THIS CHALET DOES NOT HAVE WIFI. This can be purchased on site if required.

The chalets provide a reasonable priced holiday. If you are expecting 4* accommodation, please do not book. I do not wish anyone to be disappointed.

Mablethorpe Chalet and Caravan Park is a quiet site with play areas for the children, a shop, launderette, Cedars Bar and Restaurant and arcade. 5 minutes walk to a fantastic beach. The chalet is fully equipped with microwave, hob, fridge, iron, ironing board and tv.

PLEASE NOTE: Holidays booked after 27/08/2018 - bed linen is no longer included. If required this can be supplied at an extra charge - please enquire before booking. Thank you

Key is in a keysafe by the front door, the code for this will be sent to you approximately 1 week prior to the start of your holiday. Duvets and pillows are provided, please remember to bring with you your own bed linen. A king size duvet cover is required for the double bed and singles for the bunk beds. If you have any problems during your stay please do not hesitate to contact me and I will do my utmost to remedy the problem. Please note: BBQ's are not allowed on site. Pleas note: electric is via coin meter This is a quite site, but there is plenty to do and places to visit in the area. “Ridiculous booking”

This was perfect price, knew it was too good to be true, booked and paid..... Now it been cancelled as a plumber is coming in. As a family we were desperate to get away and offered to work around plumber. Now we are left we 2 very upset children and having to wait 7 working days for a refund will struggle to find anything else affordable.

Lovely clean chalet nice size TV lovely veranda with plenty seating. 2 adults stayed in another chalet more expensive smaller no veranda will definately book againgeraldine always on hand xxx

Positives Great location just opposite a wonderful and quiet part of the beach Well equipped with everything you need Comfortable beds Good price/affordable in comparison to other types of accommodation Large balcony/patio with nice furniture Good communication with the owner - allowed a later check out which was very kind Dog friendly Clean enough especially kitchen and bathroom Negatives Dated decor (but we did not care about this) Curtains in bedroom not blackout Some dog hairs but thats to be expected in pet friendly accommodation, its very difficult to get up every last hair No wine glasses

Smaller than expected especially toilet and shower. Needs a bit of TLC. Welcome pack needs updating. Needs a new double mattress. Ok for a base

The chalet smelled badly when we first entered, the bathroom was the worst this lasted all week.The hob and cupboards had seen better days and the crockery was dirty, there was very little room to move around the bedroom which caused an issue with a disabled person.

I did not receive any calls or emails during your stay, so therefore had no chance to rectify any of the issues that you say your experienced. I could have had someone there in 10 minutes if you had advised me. The chalet is not advertised as disabled friendly if you had asked about this before booking I could have explained that. The chalet is all on one level but is not disabled friendly. The chalet provides a good value for money holiday and as described, if you are looking for 5* accommodation this is I do advise that you do not book. I am sorry you did not enjoy your stay.

I always do my utmost to rectify any problems reported, but am unable to help when unaware of any problems.
