Description

Experience something different with the open-air home and work-space of artist Elbridge S. Gordon. This quaint studio loft is intended for those that can appreciate a unique living experience, from the high exposed ceiling beams, to its warm and cozy, yet industrial space. The loft has a 20 foot open porch with views of Charlotte Amalie harbor, yet just enough trees to guarantee a comfortable treetop canopy experience. It's fully equipped with linens, towels, cook/dishware, refrigerator, stove/oven, coffee maker, microwave, tea kettle, toaster, blender, iron, hair dryer, and beach gear. Cable, Netflix, Blue Ray DVD Player, and Internet are also available. But, most uniquely and importantly, the loft features original sketches, photographs and oil paintings! Space is also equipped with an easel, art table, and supplies to create your own island inspired masterpiece to take back home!

Come dream in colors never seen before, and dare to be creative!

Getting around

A rental car is a must for getting around St. Thomas. Although taxis do serve our area, they can get expensive and aren't available at all times. We also drive on the left and our roads are not the best, so please drive carefully and cautiously.

“Wonderful place, quiet and convenient.”

Only it is not easy to get there - as some of the taxis avoid to go up the narrow road. If the lady in charge of the place tells she comes back in 1 hour, it can take days before seeing her. (Needed to get to know, where you can buy food in the area, so be wise and bring your food at first, when you arrive.) She is very nice - at took even the dishing, thanks for that, Shenell ! as we was in a hurry, because no taxies would fetch us, at our departing from St. Thomas to St. Croix.

Response from the owner Thank you for your thoughtful review. As mentioned in the listing, it's recommended you rent a car to get around. Unfortunately, taxi service is not always reliable on island in general, particularly in residential areas on hillsides. As a reminder, hosts do not provide taxi service to guests at the loft (requested by this particular guest). We do however, provide online, pre-emailed & on-site printed information necessary to explore the island (guest guidebook, maps/handouts, ect). We appreciate your visit to the loft and Virgin Islands.

How do damage deposits work?
