You'll love our place because it is close to the city centre, waterfront walks, parks, 10 minutes to the airport and the Mount beach and resort area. The location, we're close to everything, the ambiance - the feeling of luxury in a secure retreat and convenient to all the city shops, bars, restaurants and nightlife. We have thermal pools, theatres, beachsports and boat trips - everything for you to enjoy....

And of course your obliging hosts..

Our self-contained apartment is on the ground floor of our own home, has beautiful new furnishings and bedding, Queen double beds in both rooms (see photos of wall bed in lounge ) with Egyptian cotton sheets and lovely linen. The new kitchenette has DeLongi appliances and a coffee machine. Patio has a great barbeque for sizzling your steaks and fresh caught fish if you're lucky.

Just down our driveway is the waterside walk/jogging and cycle track which takes you all the way to the CBD. A lovely walk with views to the Mount and the visiting cruise ships.

If you feel like just relaxing there is a large flat screen TV with access to all freeview programs plus Sky channels including Sky Sport (for the Rugby) and Netflix for more movies .

WiFi also available for your Internet connection. Just ask for the password.

Guest Access

As this is a self-contained apartment you have complete privacy with your own key. Parking is safely off the drive and on our property. When you arrive we will meet you and show you around, where everything is and operates.

Interaction with Guests

We will be on call if you require any assistance during your stay. We live upstairs so just ring the bell. We can assist with directions, suggestions

for the local and further area, restaurants, medical, banks, sports, touring etc. or just a cup of tea and a glass of wine and a tall story to tell!

The Neighbourhood

A lovely place to stay for business or pleasure purposes and central to all amenities. All the facilities of a small city and a beach resort area.

A good place to base for touring Waikato and Bay of Plenty.

Hobbit Town = 45min. drive - Rotorua Thermal area = 1 hour - Coromandel

peninsular = 1 hour - Kai Mai's and Mount Te Aroha's soda geyser and thermal spa are less than 1 hour.

Getting Around

If you are travelling on public transport we may be able to meet you.

Just let us know before hand. Taxis are plentiful from the Airport and bus station.

Other Things to Note

For the keen walkers - as we are on a hill overlooking the water there is a strong uphill walk back to the closest restaurants, bars and takeaways

on Cameron. Most of this is avoidable if you take the waterside walkway back to Elizabeth St. But in effect most things you will require are within a mile or so(3-5 min drive). The expressway passes close by and can put you in the Mount area in 10 minutes driving. Some traffic noise can be heard during the day from this but not enough to annoy.

Getting around

There is a bus service to most parts of the Bay. Taxis are easily available and reasonable. We are walking distance to Cameron and Fourth where 5 restaurants are situated of various ethnicities. Shops for all your requirements are also on Cameron. Mount Maunganui is about 10 minutes by car. Night time entertainment places along the Strand are 20 minutes walk or 5 minutes drive.The waterfront walk/cycle pathway is right in front of our drive and will take you to almost around the city peninsular.

Interaction with guest

When you stay with us we are available at all times for any help or advice on the area, events and how to enjoy yourselves whilst you are with us. Just text or knock on our door if you need anything. We are there to help as best we can. We will be there to pass over keys personally and introduce you to the property.
