Description

Edenview is a beautiful property, set on 5 acres in the middle of the Hunter Valley, and close to the famous Hunter Valley Wineries. It has 6 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms and several large living areas, and can sleep 17 people.

As the name suggests, the views from Edenview are just amazing, taking in the rolling hills and rugged beauty of the very close Watagan Mountain Range.

Edenview is a perfect retreat to escape the rat race, relax and enjoy the peace and tranquility of the beautiful countryside. Or you can explore the Hunter and everything it offers, including Hunter Valley Gardens, The Smelly Cheese Shop, Chocolate Factory and amazing wineries.

Edenview has resident animals, including 2 horses, chickens, ducks, a talking cockatoo called Maxi 2 goldfish called Goldie & Lox. As you would expect, Edenview is also pet friendly. It has a fully enclosed half acre fenced area so that younger children and fur babies can play safely and happily.

Edenview is our home when we are not renting it out, so it has everything you could need for cooking, including a fully equipped gourmet kitchen with gas top cooking. Outside under the large covered entertainment area, there is a 4 burner BBQ complete with Firebox for cooking pizza's in. The family/dining room boasts a cosy wood burning fireplace for those cold winter nights, an outdoor fire pit ideal for a winter bonfire, and fully ducted air conditioning that ensures that no matter the weather, you will be comfortable and happy.

We invite you to come and enjoy a weekend - or a week - at Edenview.

Getting around

Edenview is approximately 12 kms from Cessnock, where everything you need to shop for can be found. As you drive out of Barraba Lane, turn right and then first left on to Quorrobolong Rd. Follow this road all the way into Cessnock. You will go through some windy roads, a sleepy little town called Kitchener with just a Pub on the right hand side, then further along, a railway line and football stadium Then you know you are in town. Follow that same road which becomes Vincent Street. There are all the big stores - Coles, Woolworths, Aldi, Big W, Target and numerous cafe's to choose from. If you are after local produce, we highly recommend Wollombi Rd Providore, which is at 80 Wollombi Rd.(which is at the very end of VIncent St).

Interaction with guest

We want our guests to feel that Edenview is their own while they are here. So we try to be gone by the time our guests show up, so that they don't feel uncomfortable. Sometimes we may be running a bit late and do get to meet and greet our guests. Generally though, we leave the house with the front door unlocked and a key on the table for their use during their stay. A small thank you gift is also left on the table, along with a Compendium outlining the smaller details i.e how to use the appliances, info about the animals etc. There are brochures on local wineries and produce shops on the kitchen counter.

House rules

Edenview is a pet friendly property, however we ask that animals be kept outside in the enclosed yard, and they may be kept in the laundry at night. Should the animal be allowed in the house, it must be fully house trained as any evidence that the animal has made a mess inside will mean loss of part or all of the bond to cover the cost of carpets and lounges being steam cleaned.
We ask that any social party obtain the owners permission, and may incur an excess garbage or excess cleaning fee.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.
