Description

Casa Rowineca is close to the beach, local restaurants and fine dining hot spots, it boasts great views from the outdoor terrace, gardens, and every window in the house. You’ll love my place because of 180 view that reaches all the way to Manuel Antonio and Isla Del Cano. It is in a central location along the coast, and coming home will be something you will look forward to and will find it is a perfect place to sit back and relax. My place is good for couples, families (with kids), big groups.

As you drive up to the property, set in a jungle backdrop, there is a large gate and gravel entrance that leads to the outdoor carport, you will already begin to enjoy the well manicured gardens and enjoy the big trees that grace the yard. You enter Casa Rowineca via a mud room, where you can leave sandy beach towels, surf boards and coolers, a functional and much needed space for families and those who enjoy the outdoors. As you enter the 'casa' a cool Pacific Ocean breeze greats you into an open space with high ceilings that is the main indoor living and kitchen area. There is an indoor living room set, TV set, small breakfast table for four, and a fully equipped kitchen in the main living space. The entire house has windows throughout, creating great ventilation, and with the help of the big ceiling fans, you will be kept cool during the especially hot and sunny days.

The master bedroom, just off of the main living space is complete with walk in closet and full double bathroom with shower, and looks out into the yard below, and has a view that stretches out as far as the eye can see on a clear day. Two more bedrooms, each with their own full bathroom, are found on the main floor. Casa Rowineca is secure, equipped with a security system and safe.

There is a big outdoor terrace with dining table and a living room set to be able to enjoy your fellow company. And most important, especially for those first timers, you will get to take in the full scenery of the jungle backdrop, the mountain views, and the big blue ocean all from the comfort of your seat.

The lower level is where you will find access to the fourth spacious bedroom, also with private bathroom. You can access the pool, outdoor shower, gardens and Rancho on the lower level. The Rancho comes complete with a cozy outdoor living room set, BBQ grill, and a few hammocks scattered around - perfect for lazy days of R&R.

A huge Guanacaste tree overlooks the yard and gives Casa Rowinecca a charming and grounding feeling, one that of puts us back in touch with Madre Naturaleza (Mother Nature). It is a spacious property with 6.5 acres of jungle, mixed with manicured gardens around the main house. It is the perfect retreat for your Costa Rican Getaway!

The neighborhood:

Welcome to the jungle! We have toucans, monkeys, sloths, butterflies, and all kind of wildlife that regularly visit us. Keep your eye peeled to the moving trees you may see. The early morning and late afternoon are active times for our neighbours to be out and about.

Getting around:

4x4 vehicle is required. Although the road is paved, it is quite steep to get up to the property - but the view is well worth it! Casa Rowineca is a short 5 minute drive from the Costanera Highway.

Other things to note:

The closest beach is a gem - Playa Linda! At low tide it is a long stretch of pristine sandy beach where one can enjoy a leisurely walk. The closest town is Dominical. Manuel Antonio/Quepos is also very close, as is Uvita de Osa, where the Whale's Tail can be found. There are various beaches along the coast, each with their charm, and all the activities you could think of that are available can be found close by. This rental is great to use as a home base.
