2BR/2BA Gulf front, CORNER UNIT, private balcony, hi-speed internet/WiFi, tile throughout.

This lovely two Bedroom condo (3rd floor unit with elevator in the building) with WiFi, directly on the beach, is located on Okaloosa Island, which is between Fort Walton Beach and Destin. It is a corner unit, with windows facing the beach on two walls, making for a spectacular sunset view. It is the best vacation destination for the family, golfer, shopper or fisherman. There are no high rises in sight, as nothing over 7 stories is allowed on Okaloosa. Because this building has a mere 24 units, and plenty of waterfront, the white beaches and the teal Gulf waters are never crowded, making it simply paradise! Many people say that these are the most beautiful beaches that they have ever seen. Television, surveys and magazines rate the Emerald Coast among the top ten in the world for its beautifully colored waters and sand as white as snow. You can relax on your private West-end 3rd floor balcony, and watch the dolphins jumping less than 100 yards away! Need more units … ask us about our others.

Response from the owner Though there was no "mandatory" evacuation (thus no refunds), we understand that some people left the island on 10/10 to be cautious. The storm passed 100 miles east of us, and did not damage the island, and we had power and water the entire time. Those who left the island to go inland for the day, were able to enjoy clear skies and a beautiful sunset on the beach that same evening. We offered to extend this guest's trip one extra night for free as a courtesy, but they just wanted a full refund after they chose to leave and not return. We offered them trip insurance, but they declined to purchase, thus taking weather related risk upon themselves.

Response from the owner We have been renting this unit for over 10 years, to over 2000 guests, and have more than 50 rave reviews on this unit. We never had a guest quite like this one though. This guest never contacted us with any complaints. They just went straight to the booking agent to get a refund, AFTER STAYING IN OUR PROPERTY! He simply made up and inflated issues to get out of his contract in an attempt to get a full refund from the booking agent. Only after he left with his refund, we received his complaints, and investigated immediately. He claimed there was mold on the curtains. All we found was a quarter sized food stain on the bottom of one curtain, not mold. He complained of stains on outdated furniture. We found on dime-sized stain on one chair, which we quickly were able to remove. The couch and chair in the living room are 1 month, and 1 year old, respectively. We found no odor in the unit. It's pretty obvious that this guest was a scammer. Just wanted a free place to stay on the beach. If any guest has any issues with cleaning, all they need to do is to contact us, and we'll send the cleaning crew back out.
