Welcome to the beautiful Edisto Endless Views! Relax on forty acres of private waterfront property for a one-of-a-kind experience! The house was painted and renovated in fall of 2016 including three updated bathrooms, new HVAC system, new blinds, refinished floors, new floor coverings and updated cabinets and doors. Located on a peninsula between two large creeks that connect to the intracoastal waterway, the property enjoys fresh breezes, gorgeous sunrises, and endless views over miles of marsh grass and water.
Edisto Endless Views has a fascinating history, it was deeded as a Lord Proprietors Grant in 1710 to a plantation owner named Joseph Russell who received the land from the King of England. Since then there’s only been a handful of owners with the property passing between generations of the current owner’s family. Edisto Endless Views is one of only two houses on the 40 acre property (only one rented and both owned by the same owner). You will drive a mile down Russell Creek Road and then another mile on a private road to the end of the peninsula that comprises the land of Edisto Endless Views far away from any car traffic. From the house you can walk or ride the golf cart a short way along the marshfront to the property’s private deepwater dock and boat ramp. Hanging out on the private dock is great fun or if you have a motor boat drive out to the intercoastal waterway or ocean. Nature lovers will love this beautiful, isolated, and natural location.
This property offers more than a typical beach vacation. Explore land and sea using the property's bikes and two fishing kayaks and one double kayak (life jackets provided). Take leisurely walks down country roads and forest paths. Immerse yourself in the unique nature and beauty of the Low Country's rich tidal creeks and marshes. Often, our guests plan to visit the many attractions on and around Edisto Island, but most guests are so relaxed that they rarely leave the property! After a walk or bike ride down the private dirt road (we provide bikes and a golf cart), or a serene kayak along the creeks, you'll be content to just hang out on the porch, in shade or sun, with a cool glass of iced tea and a good book. Even though there are some good restaurants on the island, you may want to catch fresh seafood and vegetables to cook it yourselves. We especially like to eat the fresh crab that we catch off the dock and the fish we catch in the creeks.
There is something for everyone on Edisto Island. Including an excellent golf course on the Island (and a second golf course only 20 minutes away). Anglers catch a variety of fish right off our dock, or take their boat or our two fishing kayaks to enjoy some of the finest fishing on Edisto Island. We like fishing with live bait such as shrimp and minnows -- you can use a minnow trap or shrimp net to catch live bait in season. Bird watching and the sounds of nature are captivating on Endless Views: birds flying over wetlands that stretch as far as the eye can see; dolphins swimming in the creeks; bald eagles, wood storks (in spring), and woodpeckers, as well as a countless number of waterbirds. You can see lots of nature walking around the property and if you walk up the mile up the private road - you will see flocks of birds near the gate in the salt water lakes. Enjoy catching crabs off our private dock (crabs can be caught all year round although some seasons are better than others) - you are welcome to use our crab traps or simply a string and weight. Guests are also welcome to use the house's golf cart for exploration of the property and travel the 100 yards along the marsh to the boat dock. If you need something, just call us or the property's handyman (during the weekday mornings) and generally we can attend to your needs quickly (although everyone is on island time!).
By car, you can explore Edisto Island's historic churches and plantations, state parks, and unique activities such as the Edisto Island Serpentarium (open April-October), Bingo Nights at the Lions Club (summer only), strawberry and blueberry picking (May to early July). Edisto Beach State Park and Botany Bay Plantation beach are a short drive down Hwy. 174. Enjoy a day at the beach and then come home the the beautiful endless views. While at the beach, we recommend the SeaCow Eatery for a casual meal. Visit Edisto's 4,360-acre Botany Bay Plantation and get fresh vegetables Kings Market or pinks on the way on Hwy. 174 to buy wonderful produce and boiled peanuts (in season). Buy fresh shrimp and fish at Flowers Seafood, or other local seafood stores. Via motorboat, you can take a 20-30 minute trip to remote beaches such as Deveaux Bank at the mouth of the Edisto River or eat lunch at Bohicket Marina on Seabrook Island. Take advantage of local attractions include kayak tours, fishing guides, and shrimp boat charters. PLEASE NOTE IF YOU BRING A PET THERE IS AN $89.20 PET FEE THAT INCLUDES TAX.

House rules
No pets allowed in the two bedroom pods only in the main living room and dining room area. Adults must accompany children on the dock and on kayaks - life jackets are required on kayaks and suggested for dock because the creeks can have swift currents. The golf cart driver must be 14 or above with adult supervision and ONLY grass/road.

Maybe next time, you could try going kayaking at high tide when the currents stop for a few hours or take a kayak tour with a guide which we have enjoyed. You can ask our handyman in advance to help you with preparing the kayaks. Reading your review makes me think how beautiful Edisto is and the abundant wildlife, beautiful views and fun activities!
