Response from the manager Dear Mr Hartley & Family, In response to your comments, firstly safety is the utmost importance to the owners of Eastry Cottage, the electrical appliances are tested annually. The gas fire is serviced every year as well and there are smoke alarms and carbon monoxide detectors fitted in the property. The boiler and central heating system was replaced less than 5 years ago. Following a review of your feedback we have decided to no longer restrict the timings for the heating and give customer's full access to the thermostat controls allowing them to heat the property according to their own personal preference. The kitchen tiles, work tops, oven & hob were also replaced 5 years ago. The tiled floors in the kitchen and bathroom do not have underfloor heating, therefore will be cool to touch, both in Summer and Winter. The bedroom and lounge carpet are less than 2 years old. The stair carpet is the oldest in the property, however I can confirm that a professional carpet cleaner was employed to clean all our carpets in May 2017.
