Description from owner

Description

Located in our meadow at Meadowbeck Holiday Cottages - our two Shepherd Huts sit side by side.

Aptly named Deers Leap and Hide & Sea - the huts provide a complete getaway and cozy retreat for camping with a difference. Our meadow iattracts a variety of wildlife and we have created a wildflower area near to the Huts.

Wonderful views over the North York Moors and to the sea.

Each hut is equipped with a comfortable double bed, Bench seating area, wood burning stove, hand made furniture, sink and kitchen area (pots and pans included). No electricity in the hut (LED candles and a torch provided) - all the better for gazing at the amazing dark skies we enjoy in this part of the North York Moors.

There is a self composting loo on site and shared between both Shepherds Huts.

Our barn nearby ( 150 metres & 3 minute walk away ) has electricity (and yes a WiFi connection for guests who want to escape but just can't bring themselves to leave the technology behind) along with games room for guests use - includes TV, sofas, pool table, bar football and darts board. There is also a shower facility in the barn with hot and cold water and separate standard toilets - 1 for each hut.

Free parking available -Electric Vehicle Charger available for guests use - fees apply.

Outdoor Camp Fire Area with hammocks - shared by both huts.

You can bring along your own camping stove for boiling a kettle/cooking. Alternatively you can hire a camping stove and purchase the gas from us. BBQ available to use - guests to provide their own charcoal or can purchase from us. .

There is an electric kettle provided in our barn, along with microwave and small fridge.

Sorry but being off- grid and a shared campsite with the other hut, we are unable to accommodate dogs in Deers Leap.

Guests should be aware that the hut has a log burning stove for heating, in a confined area (should you wish to use it). Please note - IT IS NOT SUITABLE ACCOMMODATION FOR YOUNG CHILDREN and whilst we do not exclude children, we advise a minimum age of 11 and it is the guests decision and responsibility when booking the accommodation.

The double bed will have a clean mattress protector but no bedding. Guests are requested to bring along their own bedding & towels. If you are unable to bring along your own bedding, please advise on booking & we can provide for an additional cost - which can be paid on arrival.

Indoor Wood Burning Stove for Heating - a basket of logs will be included in your rental, further supplies must be purchased on site (to ensure the correct fuel for the Stove).

Fancy an adventure - 'Memories are made at Meadowbeck' - check out our guest reviews on our fully equipped Shepherd Hut with electricity(Shepherds Watch).
