A private modern home all to yourself, located in a quiet and friendly residential street within a very short walking distance to the main township of Currie.

As you enter off the deck, an open plan living/dining and kitchen area showcases beautiful floating floors, a large flat screen tv and a selection of books for your perusal. With 2, comfortable 3 seater sofas and a large chaise with footrest, there are plenty of options as to where to put your feet up after a "hard day" of exploring or golfing.

Being so close to the main town of Currie you have the luxury of choosing either to dine out or amble down to the shops to pick up some of King Island's famous local fare and dining in.

The sleek and modern kitchen has everything you should need to cook up a delectable meal. Fridge,freezer, oven, cook top, microwave, Nespresso coffee machine, kettle, toaster, dishwasher, pantry, a stand mixer and even the obligatory "kitchen sink!" The cupboards are also stocked with pots and pans, crockery, cutlery and wine glasses etc.

We also provide "essentials" to get you started such as bread, milk, tea, coffee, sugar, a few miscellaneous pantry items and a cheese platter upon arrival.

Prepare yourself a feast and dine around the indoor or outdoor dining tables.

The 2 carpeted bedrooms off the hallway each contain a comfortable queen bed with plush sheets, donnas, plenty of pillows and built in robes with large mirror.

The functional bathroom with shower, separate toilet and laundry (washer, dryer, iron, ironing board and access to clothes line)are all located to the rear of the property.

The bathroom is stocked with soaps,towels and a hairdryer.

The whole property presents a well thought out "happy" colour scheme and decor and exudes a higher standard level of accommodation. "George's on Huxley" will quickly become your home away from home when visiting us on King Island.

A hire car is necessary on King Island as there is no public transport. "George's on Huxley" is located in central Currie though so you are within walking distance of the main shops, pub and restaurants.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

If JESS (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
