Conveniently located in the heart of Halibut Cove, just opposite the Isthmus on Ishmalof Island, our cottage will nestle you into the wilderness charm of Alaska's Kachemak Bay. The Forget-Me-Not Cottage is a warm and cozy 590 square foot, two bedroom house furnished with art and antiques, a full kitchen and an indoor bathroom consisting of a shower and Biolet composting toilet. A south facing private deck surrounds two sides of the Cottage and is fully furnished with three patio tables, twelve chairs, two umbrellas and a propane grill. The private deck features festive patio lights, outdoor shower and a hot tub with a knock-out sunset view of the Narrows from which you can watch the Danny J Ferry come and go throughout your day. Special features include two, three-man Walker Bay row boats for your use inside the Narrows, secure high speed WiFi, spa robes and Crocs for the deck and a K-Cup coffee maker with a selection of coffee choices. The lace curtained outhouse, a quick dash from the cottage, fulfills the full Alaskan experience! The Cottage is a 5 minute walk up 104 stairs (broken up with landings and boardwalks), from the dock below on the waterfront. ONE NIGHT ONLY BOOKINGS WILL BE ASSESSED A $50 SURCHARGE IN ADDITION TO THE BASE RATE. Bookings of two or more nights are not subject to the one night only $50 surcharge. Come BE OUR GUESTS!

Getting around

No need for a car in Halibut Cove - we get around in skiffs, kayaks, wherries and row boats. Guests at the Forget-Me-Not Cottage are provided with two 3-man Walker Bay row boats for exploring the Halibut Cove Narrows.

Interaction with guest

Guests will be met at the ferry when they arrive in Halibut Cove by the owner(s) and transported to the Forget-Me-Not Cottage property by skiff. Their gear will be transported on a tram while they walk up to the Cottage, about a 4 - 5 minute walk, up stairs and boardwalks. Guests are provided with two 3-man Walker Bay row boats for their use inside the Halibut Cove Narrows. The owners live on the property in another house and will be available to answer questions about all things Halibut Cove.

House rules

Bare feet are not allowed on outdoor wooden decks and walkways or in the outdoor shower (appropriate footwear provided if you don't bring your own). Guests must wear provided life jackets when in the row boats. Guests under the age of 13 are required to wear life jackets at all times when on docks, floating docks, on the Isthmus, on the beach or on hiking trails near the beach or water. If guests do not wash the dishes before check-out, a $30 fee will be deducted from their damage deposit.
