Description
No.1 The Old Convent is a one bedroom ground floor apartment which has just been renovated to a very high standard. The work has been sympathetically carried out retaining some of the old character such as the natural stone walls but adding some modern features like central heating and double glazing!
With its curved walls, arched handmade doors (by Chris), high ceilings and split level floors (only two steps) this apartment is truly unique
The Old Convent was originally built as a church in 1842, then converted into a convent 'St Scholastica's Priory' in 1891, the nun's took residence in 1892 until 1922 when the remaining nun's were moved to Holme Eden Abbey. Some of the nun's are buried in the graveyard at Fort Augustus Abbey, half a mile from the convent on the shores of Loch Ness.
We are close to main road with the convent woods to rear giving you privacy, and a fantastic view of golf course and Ben Tee to front.
The property is ready for guests arrival from 4pm unless otherwise arranged, we ask that guests leave by 10am on day of departure as we need time to clean for next guests.

“Quirky and stunning”
Just spent three nights at the Old Convent apartment and well what can I say..... WOW WOW WOW It’s impressive from the outside but once inside it comes into its own. Truly stunning, beautifully furnished, warm, everything you want from a holiday apartment and more. The shower room is stunning!! It’s the little things like attention to detail that sets this apart from Other self catering apartments Lovely friendly hosts as well.
