4 star Occupying a central position in North Shropshire Narnia Cottage is ideal for horse enthusiasts as its on the site of Siddle equine services, where horses are welcome on holiday too (by prior arrangement and payable to owner)
The area has so much to offer couples of all ages, for an active holiday there are tandem sky dives , static line parachute jumps available near to Whitchurch, hovercraft and Segway experiences near to Oswestry, and Rednal offers paintballing and go karting.
Hawkstone Park and follies have events throughout the year including 4 x 4 off road experiences, medieval shows and jousting. Hill valley golf club is nearby, as are Whixhall Mere and mosses national nature reserve, a range of cycle routes to suit all abilities, 4 National trust properties within an hours drive Powys Castle, Chirk Castle, Erddig, and Attingham Park. Pub 1.5 miles(horse and jockey?)

“2 night stay”
Lovely cottage, perfect for our stay. All amenities were available for us. The host family were very friendly. 3 of us stayed for 2 nights when we were attending a wedding in the area. On arrival, we were greeted by a young man (the son of the owners) who provided us with welcome information about the cottage. (Very knowledgable and precise). There is also a welcome folder in the cottage providing information (inc WIFI password). The living room area is very spacious with a futon couch, 2 large beanbags and a large dining table. There is a large tv and lovely log burner in here too. (Bring your own logs and fire lighters) The kitchen has everything you need with job, oven, microwave, kettle, toaster and all crockery, cutlery etc required. There is a large fridge freezer and a dishwasher too. The upstairs bathroom is fabulous with a large bath and separate shower unit. Downstairs there is a small toilet room with toilet and sink. In here, there is also a washing machine. The bedroom has a large (maybe king size) bed. There is a lot of drawer storage in here too. The small box room has a single folding bed in it. Access to the property is through a secured gate. The owners activate the opening of the gate when you call them on arrival. The keys to the property have a fob on them for gate opening and closing allowing us to do this ourselves on entry/exit. We didn’t get an opportunity to see much of the local area due to our short stay but it looked lovely and within the welcome folder, there are details of things to do in the area. We had a lovely stay and would recommend this cottage to anyone looking to visit this area.

“Idyllic Stay”
lovely hideaway, Chantal was friendly, and was on hand should we have needed her. Cottage has the wow factor, love the sepia horse pictures. Had a stroll round the lanes in the evening, nice and peaceful, away from the hubbub of the city. Dogs were happy too, they are still tired now.
