Description
BE OUR HONORED GUESTS IN "THE STUDIO" : newly listed, The Studio is a free-standing, 750 sq.foot building located on our 2 1/2 acres of private pristine Sonoran Desert - our "unofficial" Nature Conservancy. It is located near, yet separate from, our Guest Home (Home Away 258249) - . Carpeted, Clean, Comfortable and Caring. TAKE A TOUR:
ENTRY: The Studio has its own parking area, which leads along its own red-stone path with a red "split-rail" western fence to our 750+/- sq.ft. private, free-standing building.
NORTH : Entry to The Studio is from the north, through double glass doors, each with new Venetian-style blinds for privacy, into the fully carpeted "open-space" studio area (the entire Studio is carpeted). The wall on each side of the doors has multiple dark wood shelves, with a library of modern novels and other reading materials; binoculars with books about the midnight sky, birds etc. A telescope might be available for night-time star gazing.
Around The Studio's main area you can sit or dine at the new glass dining table, with four red "dining room" chairs, or relax in our recliner chair with ottoman, or the sofa, or other seating.
SOUTH: The opposite (south) side wall features two side-by-side large, screened, picture windows that look out onto our Sonoran desert and enjoy our sunlit room.
FULL KITCHEN - "Save Money - Cook At Home" - featuring a large chrome-faced" refrigerator with freezer, a four burner stove above a full oven, all new "small appliances" (micro-wave, blender, coffee machine, toaster and more); extensive cookware (pots, pans, strainer etc.), full set of dishes and silverware; and "so much more to enjoy the ease of "real" cooking. The kitchen includes open and closed cabinets and multiple chrome racks.
EAST: A full wall of professionally faux painted "blue denim" featuring two screened windows with Venetian-style blinds for privacy and a "day-bed" surrounded by a wood-sculpted frame. There are two (2) twin beds; the top serves as our second couch seating, with numerous large and small pillows; and the bottom bed "slides-out and pops-up" as a second bed (both are clean, good twin mattresses). The linens and sleeping pillows are Macy's new.
The Studio's BATHROOM is in the south-east corner; it is a private, carpeted bathroom featuring two sinks (one a designer glass "wash-basin" for personal use and the second, a deeper sink for personal use, dishes, etc.). There are multiple shelves, a toilet and a shower with new fixtures. The bathroom also has a mirrored-lighted cabinet. We provide soaps, shampoo and conditioner, a hair dryer, new Macy's towels (washcloths, face and bath towels) and paper products for the first weeks.

WEST: The Studio's west wall features a "3 person" sofa and a wall mounted large, flat-screen television with Direct Satellite TV with HBO.
The Studio also has Internet service (wired and wireless, free of charge) and a combination radio and CD player. We also have available a large variety of music CDs and a variety of books on varying topics.
In The Studio's south-west corner is a "double-door" entry into a large, private, carpeted WALK-IN CLOSET with a chest-of-drawers, plenty of "shelf-space and multiple wooden rods and hangers for clothing.
If our guests request, linens will be washed on a weekly basis.
OUTSIDE: The Studio is surrounded on the south, north and west sides by red rock. On the outside west side is a very private area facing the western desert; with its own "sculpted" web chairs, a large round concrete table and benches and a large sun-umbrella. There is a water fountain for aesthetic sound effects at the north-west corner. A propane barbecue is available on request.
The sunsets can be gorgeous.
The Studio rests within our private 2 1/2 acre "unofficial" Sonoran Desert nature sanctuary with bird watching (resident and migrant cardinals, hawks, pygmy owls and other owls, doves, road-runners, etc.) Numerous varieties of cactus and desert plants including our home's private, enclosed desert garden with its unusual species of cactus. Nearby occasional sounds of owls, hawks and other birds, an horse or a burro add to the western desert landscape/soundscape.
Known for its "starry desert night sky" there are binoculars along with bird-books and nighttime star books/charts. A telescope might be available.
The Studio is setback from the roadway in peaceful natural surroundings.
Bicycle and hiking/walking trails abound (two bikes may be available with a signed Release). Across the street is a "dirt-path" for walkers, bikes and horses that is part of the Arizona state pathways.
HORSE CORRAL: we also have a very large corral behind our house (3 large shades - 12x12x12 with metal roofing; 3 water troughs usually available for guests to have their horses also "visit" with us. Across the street is a trail that leads to the statewide trail system- GREAT RIDING.
