Description from owner

Description

Fishermen's Retreat is our multi-award winning home from home, perfect for holidaymakers who are looking to enjoy the English countryside. Located only 10 minutes' drive from central Bath, Fishermen's Retreat is a cosy cottage in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty with some beautiful wildlife. The Midford Brook at the bottom of your own private garden offers opportunities for coarse and fly-fishing, while the area on your doorstep is awash with walks and cycle routes. There is a large, king-size master bedroom and a smaller single bedroom, as well as additional room on the downstairs sofa bed. It will accommodate 2-3 guests comfortably but is suitable for up to 4 people.

The cottage's private garden has an outdoor terrace and BBQ grill to enjoy at your pleasure in the sunshine. Nearby is the Two Tunnels Greenway shared use cycle path that will take you to Bath one way or the local pub Hope & Anchor the other, which serves great food throughout the day.

A new, unique special offer included with every stay:

The Bath Reward Card gives you discounts off The Roman Baths, Fashion Museum, Jane Austen Centre and Thermae Spa. Adventurers might love the savings at Wookey Hole adventure park too. You can also enjoy special prices and deals across the city's fine dining restaurants and cafes, as well as local tours like the infamous Bizarre Bath walk.

Getting around

The nearest motorway to the cottage is the M4 and it's best to get to the property by car if you can. Private parking at the cottage is completely secure and found directly outside for up to 2 cars. If you're coming in to Bath Spa Railway Station by train you can call for a taxi outside the station or pre-book with Abbey Taxis and it should only take 10 minutes to reach the cottage. Bristol Airport is the nearest airport, about a 40 minute drive. The 267 and 3 bus will get you to Monkton Combe from Bath city centre and it's a short 10 minute walk from the village to the cottage.

Interaction with guest

We are here whenever you need us. In your booking confirmation you'll receive all of our contact details so you can enjoy your holiday stress-free. Entry to Fishermen's Retreat is by key-code, so you can check in at your leisure after 4pm - we'll even let you know if it's ready before then by text message.
