This lovely cottage retains a wealth of original features, sleeps two and is best suited for couples looking for a romantic getaway location.Ginny's Barn is a superb detached brick barn conversion.situated on the owner's mixed livestock and arable farm at the edge of the small rural Nottinghamshire village of Askham, Well-equipped and spacious, this single storey property offers an open plan living area which tastefully respects the property's period features, as well as natural slate flooring with underfloor heating, traditional country furnishings, exposed oak cross beams and a stable-style door. Also to the front of the property is a grassed area. Ginny's Barn is perfect for couples looking to explore this lovely area.

Amenities: Gas underfloor heating with electric stove in sitting area and radiators. Electric oven and hob, fridge, shared use of washing machine in annexe. TV with Freeview, DVD, radio/CD player, WiFi, selection of books. Fuel and power inc. in rent. Bed linen and towels inc. in rent. Off road parking for 3 cars. Grassed area with furniture. Two well-behaved pets welcome. Note: Dogs must be on leads as unenclosed garden. No smoking. Shop 4 miles, pub 5 mins walk. Note: Local pub now open.

Region: From rolling countryside to historic cathedral cities and traditional seaside resorts, Lincolnshire offers a peaceful alternative to the discerning holidaymaker.

Town: Askham is a small rural Nottinghamshire village just off the A57 and close to the A1. The village has a pub. Sherwood Forest is just 11 miles away, with the Robin Hood visitors centre providing wonderful woodland walks including to the renowned Major Oak tree, with picnic areas also available. The National Trust's Clumber Park has 3,800 acres of spectacular scenery where you can walk or cycle, gardens, and a lake with 200 species of birds. The Wetlands Waterfowl Reserve is seven miles away with 32 acres of fishing lakes and woodland, along with an exotic birds sanctuary and animals. The area offers galleries and museums, while the Roman city of Lincoln, 17 miles away, has a cathedral and castle, and historic Newark, 15 miles away, has two castles, frequent antiques fairs, a fine Georgian market square and a variety of shops, pubs and restaurants.

The very friendly owner made us feel at home from the moment we arrived. The Granary provides a delightfully comfortable base for us to explore parts of Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire.
