Description
My place in Porta Sole is in the highest area of Perugia historic center, close to public transports, a few steps from Piazza IV Novembre and Corso Vannucci. You will like my accommodation because the area is very quiet, the atmosphere is special and unique, and outdoor spaces with friezes of the Umbrian culture will leave you breathless. My accommodation is suitable for couples, lone adventurers, business travelers, families (with children) and also for our small hairy & polite friends (pets).
My Casa di Porta Sole was completely renovated in November 2016 with the intent to make it unique, welcoming and in perfect harmony with the Umbrian architecture. It's on the first floor of a historic building, overlooking the square below and it's made with love and care in every aspect: both architectural, both of furniture, both in terms of facilities.
The accommodation is divided into two large rooms: the first is composed of the dining area and a brand new fully equipped kitchen with a small fireplace. The second room houses the living room (with plasma TV and sofa bed), a bedroom area on the mezzanine and a bathroom with shower.
The entire apartment is at your full disposal. The kitchen is new, fully equipped with utensils and dishes needed to prepare meals, a big fridge with a freezer below, dishwasher, washer-tuble dryer, oven, coffee maker.
In the bathroom you will have shampoo, hair dryer, soap and everything can be useful.
Wi-Fi connection (at high speed) is free 24/7 .
I will receive you at the check-in with all the information about the house and the city, in order to make your stay unique and serene.
Your stay is sure to be relaxing because the house is on a quiet square and completely soundproofed, located in one of the most beautiful parts of the city.
As already mentioned, Porta Sole is the highest place of Perugia. To get there we start from Piazza Michelotti and you get to a maximum height of 493 meters above sea level. From this point you can see the whole city and enjoy a unique and spectacular view, loosing yourselves in the underlying villages.
Also getting home will be like discovering the typical areas of Perugia city center, because the path will be in the streets and alleys between typical and characteristic of my ancient city. For example, the only painting by Raffaello in Perugia is just 50 meters from my home, in San Severo's Chapel. A few meters away there it is one of the most spectacular views of Perugia.
I will always be at your disposal for information, need, tips, emergencies. I will give you the most important addresses to get around town and the numbers of those who routinely handle the maintenance of the house (the handyman, the plumber, the electrician).
