We're glad your family enjoyed their time overall, and we would like to provide some insight addressing your concerns. In regards to the towels, unfortunately, these are items that occasionally are removed from our place by previous guests. As soon as you passed that feedback along, the homeowner ordered additional towels, so thank you for bringing that to our attention. In this area, it is very unusual to have high temperatures that would challenge the comfort of a guest's stay. Northern Michigan, generally speaking, does not have anything close to extreme summer temperatures. We understand that you asked the homeowner to install multiple window air conditioning units prior to your arrival. The homeowner went to great lengths to purchase a new $500 free-standing air conditioning unit that sits on the floor for your stay as they go above and beyond for their guests. This is because the way the windows open, a window air conditioning unit wouldn't allow for one. It is common for classic cabins like this one in Northern Michigan to have elevation changes between rooms, and there are only two rooms in this property like this. The reason for this is that most original northern Michigan cabins have had additions added over the years which, due to building codes of the locale, often require this. This has never come up as an issue by any prior guests. The homeowner has 4 younger kids and none of them have experienced an issue with this. This cabin is their family cabin and the only property they rent. It is very well kept up and they care a great deal about keeping it that way. They truly prioritize the guest experience and make sure all guests have the best possible stay here. We are happy to have this property in our network of Traverse City properties. It is a beautiful classic, updated and well cared for cabin that provides our guests with an authentic Northern Michigan experience. Best, the Evolve Team
