Welcome to Skyline View!

My family has been coming to Beech Mountain for over 30 years; we have celebrated many holidays and enjoyed summertime fun in the mountains.

Whatever the season, Beech Mountain offers you an opportunity to create wonderful memories for your family!

This house is a " REAL ROUND HOUSE " with a view of 5 mountain ranges on a clear day.

While watching TV or having breakfast you can enjoy the "Skyline View," seeing the fog roll in and out, or just enjoy the lovely mountain air on a sunny day.

There is a 1/2 bath located upstairs. The loft is located upstairs, and has a twin bed for additional sleeping.

There are starter supplies: Toilet Paper, Paper Towels, Dish Soap, Dishwasher Soap, Hand Soap, Laundry Detergent, Softener, and Dryer Sheets. (Be sure to bring more if your staying longer than a few days).

The bathrooms located downstairs have been updated, and the bedrooms have been given a new look, including all new bedding, for a great night's sleep.

The Kitchen offers a dishwasher, microwave, coffee maker, waffle iron, blender, crockpot, toaster, stove/oven, kettle and refrigerator. (There is no ice maker- only ice trays- you'll need to bring an extra ice bag if you wish). Kitchen supplies include new cookware, new utensils, new silverware, pots/pans.

On the deck there is a BBQ gas grill for summertime enjoyment. New benches for sitting on the upper and lower deck, with some fun colored patio furniture to enjoy the view!

Cable and WiFi are included.

As you go down the circular staircase, you can sit in the sitting area and watch TV, or read a book. There are 3 bedrooms located downstairs. There is one full bath/shower bathroom and a 1/2 bathroom. One bedroom has a full sized bed, and one bedroom has a queen size bed. The third bedroom has bunk beds. Great for kids.

The bottom porch wraps halfway around the house for a different view.

You can watch TV and enjoy the view in the living room, which includes a stone fire place. Aside from the house amenities, you can also enjoy the ease of driving to Fred's General Mercantile (very famous) (3.1 miles) , the Ski Village (2.1 miles) or Buckeye Lake Recreation Center (1.3 miles) .

Getting around

Other attractions are nearby towns of Banner Elk, Boone, and Blowing Rock. In Blowing Rock, you can visit the Tweetsie Railroad Amusement Park or go shopping at Tanger Outlets. On Grandfather Mountain you'll find the famous Mile high swinging bridge, and the Highland Games, held during the summer. You can also explore/hike the Blue Ridge Parkway; you can drive to Ashville to visit the Biltmore Estates. You can enjoy great antiquing, and visit local art shows/festivals.

Before and upon your arrival I will be in contact with you directly to assure that your vacation stay at the house will be a wonderful experience. I will give specific driving instructions and pre-check in details that you will need before your arrival. After your departure we will follow up with you to see how things went and if we meet your expectations. There is a local property manager who will be able to answer any immediate needs, or you can contact me directly. Occupancy is limited to maxi. of 7 people. Minimum age to rent 25 years old.
All furniture should be returned to its original location. Empty all trash. Remove & dispose of all food items from refrigerator & cabinets.
Place dishes, utensils, etc. in dishwasher and turn it on when you depart.
Remove sheets & all dirty towels and place in laundry area. Start laundry when you depart. Pulled down all window blinds & lock windows. Turn Off all Lights.

Unfortunately, the light on the main street in front of the house is out of our control as it is on the timer by the City. I do understand that it is a bright light that shines at night in the neighborhood, but it is helpful to have that light at night especially when it's inclement weather or even coming home late at night. As for the spiral stair case, since the house is a round house the dimensions and size of the staircase were built accordingly. The carpet has been recently replaced. There are caution markers on the floor, as well. We hope that you will come back and visit us again!
