Description

Inside the house…

The house accommodates 6 persons and includes 1 double bedroom 1 twin bedroom, a mezzanine with 2 beds, a bathroom, a kitchen dining area, a large open plan living room and two outside terraces, one for sun and one for shade. The kitchen has everything that is required for cooking and enough space to sit with two tables and eight chairs, one inside and one outside. The living area has 2 sofas and a double sofa bed. The house has fan cooling in all rooms. There is free wifi, and also a portable router for which a SIM card can be purchased from the local telecom shop.

Outside the house…

There is a private garden with lovely views to the ocean. It has a mix of tropical plants with a sun terrace made from local sandstone. There is a raised shade terrace that has a table and chairs and hammock. The environmentally friendly shared salt water infinity pool is 20m from the garden with perfect views over the sea. For much of the year you can see whales and flying fish from the terrace. It is very quiet with no cars allowed, just the sound of the waves. There is access to a small-secluded beach accessible by steps built into the cliff, about fifty meters from the villa. A short walk through the village brings you out on to the long white sandy main beach.

What’s included:

Your stay includes everything on the inventory (available on request) including bedding, house towels and beach towels. Also included is electricity, gas and water. Essentials for the start of your holiday such as, water, soap, shower gel, washing up liquid, toilet paper are provided. Some guests prefer privacy, whilst others prefer a regular linen change, so if your stay is longer than one week, an additional weekly linen change can be requested at no extra cost. This can be arranged with the house manager on arrival.

Each time a guest stays we ask how we can improve, or whether there is anything we can add. As a result we added: two additional beds for kids (mezzanine); a baby’s cot; a smart TV; a bluetooth sound system; a large safe for  laptop; hammock; sun loungers; a sun terrace; a beautiful private tropical garden; direct access to the pool; extra security. To the best of our knowledge no other accommodation offers all of these.

Extra charges:

Laundry for personal items is €8.5 for one wash (5kg)

You may also add a number of different activities (diving, fishing, island tours, etc)

Cape Verde Tourist Tax is payable by all adults over the age of 16. The cost is €2 per person per night to a maximum of 10 nights. This will be collected by the House Manager on arrival.

The main town is within easy walking distance. Island tours can be arranged, or a car can be hired. We arrange a taxi to meet guests at the airport or at the port.

Interaction with guest

The House Manager can be contacted for any help during your stay and I keep in touch with guests by means of iMessage, WhatsApp etc., should they need any assistance whilst on holiday.

How do damage deposits work?

If Philip (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
